Long-time Columbia resident William Walls "Wallie" Cook (1887-1949) in uniform during World War I. He served in the Air Service Signal Corps on the West Coast.

The man in the back row with the square beard, third from right, is William Frank Neat; man in the back middle is George Alfred Hardin ; The second man from the left on the back row, wearing the medal, is Pleasant Sanders Monroe. He was in Company L of the 13th KY Cavalry. These are guesses as to who these men were.
