Adair County Trio. They sang every Sunday on The WAIN Radio Station in Columbia, Kentucky. The Singers were James Leonard and Virginia Rose Sinclair Burton with their daughter Barbra Alice Burton Pyles. The Adair County Trio was a Gospel Group. Elizabeth Martin, b. 26 Jan
1815, Adair Co., KY d. 27 Jun 1884, Probably in Taylor Co., KY. She
is buried in the Elkhorn Cem. in Elkhorn, Taylor Co., KY. Elizabeth
was the daughter of James Martin and Jemima Butler. On the back of
the picture is : Elizabeth Martin, married Grandison Sherrill
(my grandmother) -Pearl May Shreve. I
recognize the handwriting to be that of Pearl. (Pearl
May Shreve was the daughter of Wilmoth Sherrill and Mitchell B.
May. Wilmoth was the daughter of Granderson and Elizabeth Sherrill)
