1895 ADAIR COUNTY, KENTUCKY SCHOOL REPORT

                                      African-American  School Districts

                                                          Pages 1 - 10;

       In 1895 a survey was made in Adair County of all school age children.

The trustees in each district compiled a list and this was combined into

 a book. The following names and dates were taken from that book.

The original report is in the school district office. Many initials were used

 for both parent and children's given names, but research  in various

 other records has enabled me to fill in most of these names.

Unless I knew for sure a surname was wrong, I have left the spelling as

 it was in the report.

                 Transcribed by Sharon Bell : sharonkbell@earthlink.net

 Data for each family is: parent or guardian, name and birth year for each

 student in the family. If the child has a different surname it will be in

  uppercase letters.
