Blair - Smythe

Miss Lois Blair, of Eli, Russell County, and Rich Smythe, of [Columbia], were married in Danville on New Year's Day. The Rev. Dr. Hart, pastor of the Danville Christian Church, performed the ceremony, which took place at his residence. Their only attendants were Miss Lacona Wilson and Leonard* Bernard, both of Russell County.

Mrs. Smythe is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Blair, of Eli, and was educated in the schools of Russell County.

Mr. Smythe is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lem Smythe, Columbia. He is an industrious and well-liked young man who has a position at the Adair Service Station.

After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Smythe motored to Louisville, returning here Sunday, where for the present they are living with the groom's parents.

* This quite likely was Lester Bernard, not Leonard. Lester later married Miss Lacona Wilson.
