Marriage Bond from the Adair Co. court house.

Know all men by them presents that Simeon Creel and Reuben Waggoner are held and firmly bound unto Christopher Greenup Esq. Governor of Kentucky
or his succefsors in the penal sum of L50 the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs, executors & administrators jointly and severally firmly by them presents  sealed with our seals and dated this 19th day of November 1806.
This condition of such that if their should be no legal cause to
obstruct a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the said Creel above the age of 21 years and Matilda Waggener daughter of Reuben Waggoner whose consent was acknowledged before me. Then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force & virtue.
