A. Chesher
Will
In the name of lord amen, I America Chesher of Anderson County Kentucky, being weak in body but of sound mind, and wishing to dispose of my worldly affects while I am living, do make and declare this my last will and testament, 1st I will that after my death my boddy [sic] have a decent and Christian bural [sic] my Soul I commit to the God who gave it, 2nd I will to my son Burrus H. Chesher and my daughter Frances E. Chesher forty acres of land to be laid off of the north side my farm the division line between this and my other lands to begin at Russell Story corner east of near his house and over to R. H. Crossfields line so as to make forty acres, and include all my buildings on the said forty acres. 3rd I will that the remainder of my lands be equally divided between my other three children, now living, namely Alice Mizner, Robert B. Chesher, and James H. Chesher. 4th I will that all my household goods be equally divided between my sons Burrus A. Chesher, James H. Chesher, and my daughter Frances E. Chesher, 5th I will that my son Burrus H. Chesher pay Leona Allen, my grand daughter, one dollar and that is all that I wish her to have of my estate. Given under my hand this July the 20th 1893.

I, P. H. Thomas, Clerk of the Anderson County Court certify that at the February Term held February 18th, 1895, the foregoing writing purporting to he the last will and testament of America Chesher deceased was produced in court, proved by the oath of J. T. Hughes one of the subscribing witnesses thereto who also proved the signature and attestation of John W. Bickers the other subscribing witness, and ordered to recorded which is accordingly done, given under my hand this February 22nd, 1895.
