Inscription reads:

Dempsey King Carter Husband of Florence A.

formerly Goodin

Born June 13, 1852

Died June 3, 1903

 

The inscription at bottom of stone is not legible due to acid rain and age. Florence A. Goodin-Carter daughter of Capt. John Goodin 49th Ky. Inf. Co. K Civil War, is buried in the Carter Cemetery behind the home of Ed Goodin.
