Sandefur, Mrs. Louetta (Moore) of Harrogate, , Tenn. ,age 79, of the Pump Springs community, ceased from her earthly labors on Thursday, July 14, 2005, at the Laurel Manor Nursing Home. She was born on March 31, 1926, in Middlesboro, Ky. to John Eph Moore and wife Harriett Smith Moore. She was a retiree of 31 years, working at the Claibome County Hospital and Nursing Home, one that was faithful and dedicated in her caring for the elderly and sick. She always enjoyed life and carried a smile on her face, which was evident in her love and devotion to the welfare of her patients. She was highly respected, loved and honored by her co-workers and associates through the years of employment. Even in her illness she could smile, many times she would say, there is no need for complaints. Her life motto was a good laugh was better than medicine. She loved the existence of nature and its creator. The Spring was her favorite season, she being an avid gardener. Her many varieties of flowers were her passion and many times she would give a starting to anyone that asked. Her favorite quotation was, "I want roses while I live!" She loved her family very much and was attentive to their needs. Her compassion for friends and neighbors was also evident. If you were at her house she would ask you to have something to eat. Always she would place the needs and desires of others before her own. She loved life and the act of doing good. She professed faith in the Lord at an early age at Pine Hill Baptist Church and later became a member at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: John Eph and Harriett Smith Moore; grandson, raised as a son and brother: E.J. Carmack; brothers: Troy, Walter and Earl James Moore; sisters: Gladys Carmack, Irene Sandefur Whitaker, Juanita Lovell Hensley and Beatrice Baker She is survived by her husband: Clyde Sandefur, her loving, faithful, devoted husband of 58 years of the Pump Springs community; sons: Clyde Jr. and wife Phyllis Crockett Sandefur of Pump Springs, Harrogate, Tenn.; John Eph and wife Jeanie McCallister Sandefur of Rogersville, Tenn.; grandchildren: Matthew Todd and wife Nicole Cook Sandefur of Pump Springs, Harrogate; Jennifer Elicia and husband Roy Christopher Yonts of Pikeville, Ky.; John Eric and Dustin Andrew Sandefur of Rogersville, Tenn.; great grandchildren: "Her Baby" Dennis Malachi Sandefur of Pump Springs, Harrogate; Noah Christopher Yonts of Pikeville, Ky., who she desired to see at birth; sister: Her "Special Angel" Bobbie (Moore) Hatfield of Tazewell, Tenn. who showed her love and faithful devotion to the care and well being of her sister in sickness and through life; special friend: Lester Asberry of Tazewell, Tenn.; sister-in-law: Gracie Southern Moore of Tazewell, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews, and a host of family, friends, and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 4 - 7 p.m. Saturday July 16, 2005 at the Claibome Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with Bro. Matthew Sandefur, Bro. Jerry Peck Jr., and Bro. David Billingsley officiating. Music provided by The Blood Bought Way, Brenda Shoffner, Mark Fultz, accompanied by Malcolm and Connie Dykes. SAUNDERS, VALERIE “VAL” 77, of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Pineville on May 28, 1927 the daughter of the late Julian and Louise 
Gibson Saunders. She was a graduate of Pineville High School, the University of Kentucky, completed her graduate work at Union College and was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. She had been a teacher and 
principal at the Pineville Independent School for many years. She was also a partner in the Pineville Laundry Mat for many years. Valerie was very active in civic matters, she served on the Pineville Library Board, 
was a member of the Bell County Chamber of Commerce and the Middlesboro Country Club. She was instrumental in in setting up the “Picnic in the Park with the Pops,” was a founder and treasurer of the “Tuesday 
Morning Breakfast Club” and each fall organized the Community Picnic in October. Valerie participated in the very first Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival and has served as its Chairperson in 1965 and was on the 
Board of Directors for the Festival. She was an avid golfer, a great UK Sports Fan and a member of the UK “Cats Club.” She had recently been honored as one of “Bell County’s Women of the Year.” Of the many 
wonderful things Val was known for, she was especially known for her brownies.  Survivors include her brother, Frank Saunders, nieces, Louise Saunders Carter, Jane Saunders Ratteree and Barbara Saunders Taylor; grand-nieces and nephew, Christopher Gibson Carter, Virginia Gayden Taylor and Mary Claire Taylor and a host of loving friends and other relatives.Graveside Services were held  Thursday at the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Mr. Jay Steele. SAYLOR, ADA  LEE  JOHNSON, 79, of Baxter, KY passed away Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.  She was born May 20, 1927 in Kettle Island, KY.  Mrs. Saylor was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Clarence & Maude Defevers Johnson, Husbands; Bill Price & Rev. Kale Saylor, One daughter; Linda Lee Price, and five brothers; Darrell, Curt, Joe, Bud & Ed Johnson.  Survivors include four children; Billy G Price & wife Sharon of St. Johns, IN, Roger D. Price and wife Sherry of Dickson, TN, Joan Skidmore & husband Joe of Cranks, KY, Jane Gross and husband Dean of Baxter, KY,  Two brothers; Harley Johnson of Cincinnati, OH and Jerry Johnson of Pineville, KY, three sisters; Kathleen Layne of Middlesboro, KY, Doris Joy Allstott of Indianapolis, IN and Jewell Wooldridge of Cincinnati, OH, ten grandchildren; John, Sarah, Nicole and Shawn Price, Megan Skidmore, Olivia Collins, Christopher, Rachel, Jacob & Danielle Cunningham, special great granddaughter; Brooklyn Collins and six great grandchildren.  Several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with Rev. Saylor, Andrew -82, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at his home. He was born in Bell County on May 13, 1922 the son of the late Solomon and Susie Asher Saylor. He was of the Holiness faith and had worked in the Log Woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Squire, Wilburn and Otis Saylor and grandchildren, Michael Ray Johnson and Tracey Allen Brock. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jane Mills Saylor of Stoney Fork, children, Irene and Freddy Johnson of Stoney Fork, Frank and Charlotte Saylor of Pineville, J.B. and Barbara Saylor of Stoney Fork, William James Saylor of Arjay, T.J. Saylor of Pineville, Susie and James Brock of Stoney Fork, Sim Saylor of Stoney Fork and Andrew H. and Bonnie Saylor of Mill Creek, twenty-one grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother and sisters, Willie B. Saylor, John B. Sr.-, age 77, of Centerville, Ind. died Monday, October 14, 2002 at Reid Hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Fields, Ky., to Charley and Ida Rose Knuckles Saylor and had been a resident of this area since 1947. He was a self-employed businessman and former machinist for AVCO. Mr. Saylor was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Centerville American Legion. He attended Southview Church of the Nazarene and was an Honorable Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his wife, Irene C. Saylor, whom he married April 2. 1955; one daughter Vickie D. Isaacs and her husband Edward of Richmond; one son, John B. Saylor, Jr. of chapel Hill, NC; three grandchildren, Laura, Jennifer and Jacob, all of Richmond; two brothers, Richard D. Salyor and Arnold J. Saylor, both of Pineville, Ky.; two sisters Dorothy Brock of Beverly, Ky., and Elsie Schaffer of Liberty; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Clyde, Oliver and Charles. Funeral services for John B. Saylor, Sr.. will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct 17, 2002, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W., Richmond, Ind., with Rev Paul Mingus and Rev Bill Shuler officiating. Saylor, Richard D. -76, of Pineville, died on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at the Pineville Community Hospital.  He was born at Red Bird on February 27, 1927 a son of the late Charlie and Ida Rose Knuckles Saylor.  He was a Baptist, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Masonic Order. He had retired from the United States Army after 25 years of service and was a retired Ford Motor Company, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Helen Saylor and brothers, Clyde, Oliver, Charles and J.B. Saylor. Survivors include his wife Greta Jo Morris Saylor, children, Wanda and Fred Foister, Richard Saylor Jr., Ronnie and Gerry Saylor, Glenda and Mack Mitchum and Candice Britt Fornatoro; grandchildren, Cerina Foister, Brandy Carnes, Lisa Marie Colwell, Rachel Ann Bradshaw, Regina Silvers, April Saylor and Conor Britt; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Mackinsie Napier, Cody, Brittney and Austin Carnes, Cameron and Colin Colwell and Bailey Bradshaw; brother, Arnold J. Saylor; sisters, Dorothy Brock and Elsie Schaffer; very special friend Luther Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services were Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Joplin, Missouri on December 9, 1932 the son of the late Riley and Hazel Williams Scott. Robert worked for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years as an assemblyman and a committeeman. He served in the 
U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a ranger in the 101st Airborne Division. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Saylor Scott, sister, Mamie Scott and brother, 
Albert E. Scott.  Survivors include his children and their spouses, Alice Faye and Steven Burns, Lige Cox, Pearlie Jean and Don Harris, Edward Lee Scott, Ruth Kathleen and Richard Vargo, Robert Leroy Scott,

SHORT, VIRGINIA  ANN  HIBBARD Pineville - Virginia Ann Hibbard Short left for her heavenly home on Sunday, July 23, 2006, at her home.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and faithful servant 
to her Lord, her family and her community.  She worked 33 years for the federal government in the United States Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency, and retired in January 2003. At the time other death 
she was a national officer of the Retired Association of FSA Employees (RASCOE), and published the newsletter for over 1,500 retirees nationally. She was also serving as secretary of the Order of the Eastern Star 
Chapter #89. A long time member of West Pineville Baptist Church at Wallsend, she was active with the Women on Mission (WMU); the Wednesday Night Community Meal and the children's AWANA Program.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Edward and Anna Mae Hibbard of Pineville; and a sister, Betty Sue Lambert of Pineville. She had been a loving daughter-in-law of the late Bryan and Isabelle Short 
of Pineville.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Robert Gene Short of Pineville; her daughter, Kelly Jo Werkmeister, son-in-law, Dr. James Werkmeister of Lancaster, Ky., their children, Jonathan Taylor and 
Mary Kathryn. She also leaves behind two sisters and their families: Peggy and Glenn Franck of Maynardville, Tenn., and their children, Gennie, Steven, Kevin, Dianna and Terry; and Barbara and Fred Robbins of 
Pineville, and their children, Kim and Sherri; as well as the children of Betty, Rebecca Burke and Jimmy Lambert; and a multitude of great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.
  Services will be 
at conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. David Peters, West Pineville Baptist Church, and the Rev. Tim Mills presiding.

SIMPSON, CHARLES  JR.Services are being conducted in loving memory of Charles Simpson, Jr. a resident of Fourmile, Kentucky who passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born August 23, 1953 in Bell Co. Kentucky, the son of the late Charles Simpson Sr. and Edna Lee Miller Simpson.  He was a coal miner.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Paul Simpson, nephew Gary Phillip Brown, and brother-in-law, Gary Hinkle.  At the time of his death he was 51 years old. He is survived by the following members of his family; his wife, Thelma Sue Bays Simpson of Fourmile, KY; 2 daughters and son-in-laws, Sonya & Mike Moyers of Speedwell, Tennessee and Tony and Jeff Brashears of New Tazwell, Tennessee; 3 brothers, Robert and Christine Simpson of  Fourmile, Kentucky, George and Tammy Simpson of Fourmile, Kentucky and Michael Simpson of Fourmile, Kentucky; 3 sisters,  Brenda Simpson, Kay Hinckle and Teri Thompson all of Fourmile, Kentucky; 3 grandchildren, Courtney Simpson, Michael Moyers, Jr. and Dalton Brashears and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005 at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur E. Jackson speaking.  Interment followed in the Simpson Family Cemetery at Fourmile, Kentucky, Pallbearers were Robert Simpson, Jr., Coley Simpson, George Simpson, Jr., Jonathan Simpson, Tim Brock, Joe Bays, Eric Smith, and Christopher Hale. Visitation was 6-10 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Durham Funeral Home which was in charge of arrangements.

SIMPSON, DOLLY, 74, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. She was the former Dolly Lidster, a native of Bell County and a member of Victory Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Simpson; daughters, Diana L. Powell (Jerry), and Stacy L. Gordon (Tom); grandchildren, Melissa Lewis and Graham and Lillie Gordon; one great-grandchild, John Tyler Lewis; brothers, William E. and J.R. Lidster; and sisters, Myra J. Howard and Joni L. Russell. The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman's.

Sinkhorn, Daisy -86, of Pineville, formerly of Richmond, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2005 at her daughter’s home. She was born on April 24, 1919 in Simms Fork the daughter of the late Alec and Kitty Napier. She was member of the Cherry Street Church of God and had been a clerk at the Methodist Mountain Mission until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by he husband, Wesley “Doc” Sinkhorn and a son, Jimmie Sinkhorn, great-grandaughter, Jessica Wilder. Sinkhorn, Lena Ruby -a resident of Standford, KY formally of Pineville, KY who passed away Sunday June 26, 2005 at the Ft. Logan Hospital in Standford, KY. She was born February 17, 1922 in Jenson, KY the daughter of the late Thomas L. Jones, and Sarah Cox Jones.  She was a believer in the Holiness Faith, other than her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Onvia Sinkhorn, Mary Logan, Marie Jordan, Goldie Lee and Leonia Jones, brother Lendsey Jones.  At the time of her death she was 83 years old. She is survived by the following members of her family.  Her husband of 64 years David Sinkhorn, 1 daughter & son-on-law Carolyn Faye & Robert Muse, 4 grandchildren Tresa Kilby, Delbert Asher, Renee Congar, Georgianni Brock, and great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday June 30, 2005 at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Jackson officiating.  Music was by Willie Hensley and Becky Simpson and Larry Sinkhorn and Josh Collins.  Interment was in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens on Laurel Hill.  Creech-Durham Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

She was a member of Samaria Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by a son, Otis Sivils. Sizemore, Clara -87, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at the Pineville Community Hospital.  She was born in Stoney Fork on May 11, 1915, a daughter of the late Carlo “Buddy” and Edna Jones Helton.  She was a very active member of Calvary Chapel Pentecostal Church.  She had worked at Sizemore Grocery Store at Stoney Fork for many years and was a member of the Stoney Fork Homemaker Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Sizemore, children, Pearl, Roy and Arville Sizemore; grandson Eddie Dwayne Johnson; brothers and sisters, Elcie Helton, Rachel Helton, Riva Wix, Logan Helton, Jonas Helton, Junior Helton and Bob Helton. Survivors include her children, Della Mae and Robert Fuquay of Indianapolis, IN and Nelson and Judy Sizemore of Stoney Fork; seventeen grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jessie Helton, Elva Helton, John Helton, Wayland Helton, Sylvia Collins and Wanda Belcher and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.            Services were Tuesday at the Calvary Chapel Pentecostal Church with Rev. Wayne Grace and Rev. Thea O. Sizemore, Johnny - was called to be with the Lord Sunday August 14, 2005 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born August 2, 1934 at Simms Fork, KY the son of the late Finley Sizemore, and Flora Hendrickson Sizemore.  He was a Coal Miner and a member of the Church of God believing in the 5 signs.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Eunice Sizemore, brother Patrick Gambrel, grandparents A.Y. (Yansey) Gambrel, Martha Gambrel at the time of his passing he was 70 years old.  He is survived by the following members of his family daughters Rebecca Lynn Nolan, Debra Faye Ash; 2 brothers James Forester Rice, Lacy Jones, 3 grandchildren Amanda Renee Ash, William Henry Ask IV, Jeffery Nolan Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 17, 2005 at the Old Kettle Island Holiness Church, with Rev. Larry Hensley, Rev. Clifford Nolan, and Rev. Wayne Lawson.  Music was provided by the brothers and sisters of the church, burial followed in the Freen Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY.  Pallbearers were Jeffrey Nolan, William Ash, William Ash IV, Lacy Jones Jr., Clifford Nolan, Wayne Lawson, Doug Thacker. SLONE, WILLARD MARSHALL “Shorty” 34, of Pineville passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the University of  Kentucky Medical Center.  He was born in Pineville on March 10, 1971 the son of 
Gerldine Taber Slone and the late James Slone.  He was a member of the Newtown Baptist Church and had been a firefighter for the Pineville Fire Department for many years.  Survivors include his mother, Geraldine 
Slone, daughter, Brittany Slone, brothers and sisters and their spouses, Chenoa and Carrie Slone, Ronnie and Lisa Slone, James and Loretta Slone, Timothy Slone, Peggy and Harold Mosley and Kathy Slone,

Slusher, Arthur -56, of Lima, died Friday, 12:30p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima Ohio.  He was born on March 20, 1947 in Tinsley, Kentucky to Jess and Georgia Ann Lockard Slusher who preceded him in death.  He was formerly married to Sally Dillon Heck and Ima Thomas Slusher. He is father of a son: Bryan (Dawn) Slusher of Lima, a daughter Jessica (Mark) Paliscak of Scottsdale, AZ, a stepdaughter, Natalie (Les) Handshoe Cooper of California, and six grandchildren: Page, Dilon, Summer and Autumn Slusher, and Zachary and Olivia Paliscak.  Two brothers: Dwane (Sylvia) Slusher of Alger, Jerry (Linda) Slusher of Lima. Two sisters: Janet Mason of Pineville, KY, and Mary Elizabeth (Mickey) Jones of Pineville, KY.  He had a sister Joyce Slusher who also preceded him in death. Arthur was employed since 1972 at the Ford Motor Company currently working in the Dyno Area.  He was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Slusher were 11:00 AM, Monday, September 1, 2003 at the Lima Missionary Baptist Church.  Rev. Terry Brock will officiate with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

CALVIN — Dan Slusher, 90, passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Ky. He was born Nov. 5, 1917, at Insull, Ky., the son of the late Bill

SMITH, BILLIE JO, 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Arjay, Ky., passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2001 in Indianapolis, Ind. Smith, Brenda Roark  age 63 of Boone Height was born on August 13, 1941 in Bell County.  She was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mattie Roark.  Mrs. Smith died, Saturday, February 12, 2005 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.  Mrs. Smith was of the Baptist Faith.  She was a devoted homemaker and mother.  On December 21, 1954, she united in married with T.J. Smith.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Roark, Nadine Stewart, Arlena Stewart and a brother Harold Roark. Surviving Mrs. Smith is her husband, T.J. of Boone Height; her sons; Harold Smith and wife Maudine Peggy, Thomas Joe Smith and Flancee’, Vinnie Mills of Barbourville; Marty Dewayne Smith and wife Noria of Stinking Creek; Tony Smith and wife Kim of London; her loving grandchildren; Jennifer Wyatt and Husband Matt of London; Brandon and Sonny Smith; her sisters; Carrie Lowe, Una Charlton, Donna V. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Shumate Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tim Helton, Roy Partin, Raymond Evans, Chad Lawless, Shawn Lawless, Michael S. Orr, David “Pickle” Dillbeck, David Collett, Doug Roper, Rex Davis, Jeff Davis, Greg Maiden, and Bobby Goodman. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Shumate Funeral Home.

Smith, Charles Anthony -52, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006, at his home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Smith, Edward Joseph "Ed" -59, of Pineville-passed away Monday, July 4, 2005, at the East Tennessee Baptist Hospital. He was born in Pineville on October 13, 1945, a son of the late Twila Black Daugherty and Joseph Smith. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, he was a Baptist, had served in the Marines during the Vietnam War, and had been a Pineville City Police Officer for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Smith. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Giles Smith; brothers Robert and Otis Smith; sisters, Margaret Smith and Elaine Philpot; children, Lynn Fox, David Smith, Jessica Smith, Paul Smith, Nicholas Frye and Christina Frye; six grandchildren; mother-in-law, Pearl Giles; several brothers and sisters-in-law; special friends, Ernie "Tub" and Betty Goodin; and many other relatives. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, which is in charge of arrangements.

SMITH, JESSIE -Services were conducted in Loving Memory of Jessie Smith, a resident of Arjay, KY who passed away Sat. March 5, 2005 at the Pineville Community Hospital.He was born April 23, 1919 in Bell Co. KY the son of the late Harvey Smith and Millie Broughton Smith.  He was a member of the Green Camp Pentecostal Church.  He was a retired U.M.W.A. Coal Miner.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Ethel Warren, sisters, Della Saylor, Mary Smith, Leighann Lewis, brothers Charlie Smith, Delbert Smith, Gilbert Smith, Tommy Lewis and Polly Ward.  At the time of his death he was 85 years old, he is survived by the following members of his family: 2 sons Custer Ray Smith, Joe & Brenda Smith; 8 daughters Shirley & Fred Helton, Ollie & Vernon Stewart, Louise & Lester Saylor, Virginia & Kenneth Carnes, Minnie & Edward Spanski, Lola & Dewey Saylor, Elsie & Gary Jones, Donna & Mike Mills; 1 brother Robert & Viola Lewis; 3 sisters Emma Jean Shepard, Virgie & Ray Bailey, Birdie & Clyde Reeder and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 8, 2005 at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wagner and Jerry Hodge speaking, music provided by the Green Camp Pentecostal Church singers.  Burial followed in the Big Jim Cemetery, Arjay, KY.  Pallbearers were grandsons.  Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Hodge and Jim Gambrel.

SMITH, LEATRICE HELENA -Our dear mother, Leatrice Helena Smith, nee Stewart, age 79 of Lincoln Park, Michigan, formerly of Pineville, Kentucky passed away peacefully, Monday, August 16, 2005.  She was born June 5, 1927 in Pineville, Kentucky to Thomas and Edna Stewart.  Beloved wife of the late Donald, beloved mother of Donald Jr. (Tony), Donetta (Dennis), Francis and Steven, loving grandmother to Michael and Tara, loving great-grandmother to Jacob, dear sister to Bryan Stewart and deceased members of the Stewart family, fond aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Dear sister-in-law to Frank (Sandy) Smith, William (Pat) Smith and Margaret Ann.  Services will be Saturday, September 10, 2005, graveside at Pinelawn Memorial Garden.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Interfaith Homeless Shelter, 117 Pine Street, Pineville KY 40977.

Stillings, Joan Marie -62, of Middlesboro, left us on Sunday, July 3, 2005, on her 62nd birthday in Middlesboro. She was born in 1943, and was the daughter of the late Karl Willard and Addie Lee Campbell. 
She had been a member of St. Julians Catholic Church since 1981. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in death by her brother Karl Douglas Campbell; grandparents, Lon Monroe and Maude Marie Campbell, and Wint and Ollie Mae Carmony. Survivors include her loving husband, Tony Stillings; daughters, Anna Marie Reece, Karla Jo Swim, Linda Leigh Estes; and a very special niece, Danna Lee Campbell Smith; 
13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Hurst Cemetery. Arrangements by Shumate Funeral Home.

SULFRIDGE, TILMAN  A “TIM", 83 of Peoria, formerly of Lacon, died at 5:30 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Rosewood Care Center of Peoria. Born December 16, 1921 in Pineville, KY to 
William and Ellen Foley Sulfridge, he married Bobbie Woods on March 1, 1941 in Pineville.  She died April 2, 1975.  He married Rose Windler on December 8, 1975 in Peoria. He was a member of the CILCO 
Bowling Team, a line construction supervisor for CILCO for 30 years, retiring in 1981.  He was a member of the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Peoria and the Junior Achievement Association.  Survivors include 
his wife, Rose Sulfridge, son Gary (Darlene) of Metamora, daughter Nancy (Scott) Mooberry of Lacon, step-sons, Merle (Linda) Windler of Topeka, KN and Steven (Paula) Windler of Chandler, AZ, sister, Frances 
York of Greencastle, PA; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Services were Monday, December 27, 2004 at the Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon.  Burial was in the Lacon cemetery.  This obituary is a courtesy to the family by Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.

SUMMERS, ELLIA MAE MULLINS -Services were conducted in Loving Memory of Ellia Mae Mullins Summers, a resident of Middlesboro, KY formally of Four Mile, KY who passed away Sunday February 27, 2005 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born August 14, 1930 in Tinsley, KY the daughter of the late Robert Mullins and Jessie Laws Mullins, other than her parents she was preceded in death by brother, Robert Mullins, sister, Norma Jean Posey, brother in law James Posey, grandpaents Hiram and Ida Mae Laws.  She was a member of the True Believer Church of God. .At the time of her death she was 74 years old.  She is survived by the following members of her family: husband Eugean Summers of Middlesboro, KY; uncle Johnny and Betty Joe Laws of Tinsley, KY, uncle Robert & Rachel Laws of Tinsley, KY, niece Judy Luwanda Phillips of Pineville, KY, nephew James Larry Posey of Pineville, KY, nephew Robert Troy Posey of Frankfort, KY; grand nieces and nephews, James Michael Posey of Pineville, KY, Tammy Lou Posey of Pineville, KY, Paula Ann Posey Monroe of Middlesboro, KY; cousins Johnny Laws of Fourmile, KY, Robert Laws of Fourmile, KY, Timothy Laws of Fourmile, KY; and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Hall and Rev. Don Miracle speaking.  Music was provided by the church singers, interment followed in the Pinelawn Memorial Garden West Pineville, Kentucky.
