Clear Creek Springs, 1924, before the Clear Creek Mountain Preachers School was founded on land donated by J.M.C. Davis and Katherine Peavler Davis. Dr. L.C. Kelly and other Baptist ministers purchased the land from the couple in order to found the school that eventually became the four year fully accredited Clear Creek Baptist Bible College.
