Children: Grace, Dan, Roxie, Maude, and Herman
Jim
and Dan Click opened the first mine opening at Bon on a cold February 14th.
As they ate lunch, they discovered a large rattlesnake laying below
the tram road on a large chestnut oak log.
Jim taught
the card class in Sunday School in the Bon Jellico School house.
In 1917
when
the United
Mine Workers of America tried to organize, Jim favored the UMWA.
Since the UMWA vote at Bon failed, Jim was ‘not needed at Bon’ any
more.
