NAME(S): The William WEAVER family (wife Susan F. DILLMAN) left Bracken County in about 1870 for Illinois. My great-grandfather was their son, Ell Kenton. Susan is listed as widow in the 1900 census (Missouri), so William must have died prior to that-not in 1904 as some reports show.

Looking for Mary Harber's parents and siblings plus additional information on both families.

1. Joseph TAYLOR and Elizabeth HEAVERIN married April 12, 1821 Bracken Co, KY. I have 9 children listed and KY as birth place - not sure if born in Bracken Co or not.
2. James CUMMINS Sr and Mahalah ARBUCKLE married August 16, 1832 Bracken Co, KY. I only have 2 children listed for them.
3. John ADAMS and Elizabeth STITES married February 20, 1809 Bracken Co, KY. Not been able to find names of any children for them yet.
4. George W. TARR and Lucinda GARRARD, both buried in the Tarr Cemetery, Bracken Co, KY. I have 11 children listed for them and have found a few were buried also in the same cemetery. Am trying really hard to find descendants on this group.

RESEARCH FOCUS: This family moved into Rock Springs abt 1900. George married Larcenia (Cenia) YATES from Clemont Co. Ohio in 1900. They lived with James and Sarah, where there son was born - William Theodore Lee, b. 1902 in Rock Springs, Ky. They then moved to Ohio. James and the family moved to Jefferson Co. Belle died in 1900 in a brush fire, but not sure where. James drown around 1902.

LOCATION: In 1800 he purchased 124 acres in Mason Co., KY, sold off this land in parcels in 1803, 1808, & 1818. Do not know exactly where in Bracken County he lived or for what years.

The family was listed in Bracken Co., Ky in 1850 Census and then Rachel was listed with son John and his wife Jane and their 4 children in the 1880 Census for District 15, Berlin, Bracken, Kentucky. OTHER INFORMATION: I'm also researching one of their sons, John M. Alexander who was b. in Bracken Cty. in 1812. JMA later removed to Monroe Cty., Missouri. He died in Missouri in 1898. It's possible that his mother, Isabella, made the trip to Mo. with JMA.

OTHER INFORMATION: On Bracken Co tax list 1799 til his death in 1819. His children stayed in Bracken and Robertson Counties, and some are still there. Many relatives buried at McDowell Cemetery on Kabler Mill Rd.
RESEARCH FOCUS: My brick wall is John McDowell b. 1760's in PA. I would like to know where he is from and who his parents and siblings were. He married Nancy Linville in 1780's PA. I know he was friends with Peter Linville of Cross Creek, Washington Co, PA, so I am hoping that John can be found in that area as well.

OTHER: Nathaniel and Mary were parents of Rebecca J. Browning and Benjamine Franklin, and others. They are shown on the 1850 census for Bracken with all children but Rebecca. Where was she? She married in 1866 to John M. WOOD of Bracken Co. Rebecca died and was buried where? John moved to Indian Territory and remarried.

OTHER: Their son, Harry William McCormick (my grandfather) b. 1869 in Kenton Co. and son, Clarence M. McCormick b. 1872 in Owen Co.. Another son, Walter B. born about 1873. James supposedly worked on the river where he died accidently by 1880.
RESEARCH FOCUS: Is James McCormick age 19 in 1860 census in Bracken Co. the same James? Is James connected to John E. McCormick who shows up in Bracken Co. census starting 1810? John b. about 1788 in Pa. had wife Mary b. Va. Daughters Amanda, Angeline and Louisa are with John in 1850 census. In 1860 John and Mary McCormick are in household of James B. and Martha RYAN.
