DILLMAN) left Bracken County in about 1870 for Illinois. My great-grandfather was their son, Ell Kenton. Susan is listed as widow in the 1900 census (Missouri), so William must have died prior to that-not in 1904 as some reports show. George married Larcenia (Cenia) YATES from Clemont Co. Ohio in 1900. They lived with James and Sarah, where there son was born - William Theodore Lee, b. 1902 in Rock Springs, Ky. They then moved to Ohio. James and the family moved to Jefferson Co. Belle died in 1900 in a brush fire, but not sure where. James drown around 1902. LOCATION: In 1800 he purchased 124 acres in Mason Co., KY, sold off this land in parcels in 1803, 1808, & 1818. Do not know exactly where in Bracken County he lived or for what years. The family was listed in Bracken Co., Ky in 1850 Census and then Rachel was listed with son John and his wife Jane and their 4 children in the 1880 Census for District 15, Berlin, Bracken, Kentucky. He was married to Isabella Patton in Rockbridge Cty., Va. BRACKEN COUNTY TIME PERIOD: before 1831 LOCATION: OTHER INFORMATION: I'm also researching one of their sons, John M. Alexander who was b. in Bracken Cty. in 1812. JMA later removed to Monroe Cty., Missouri. He died in Missouri in 1898. It's possible that his mother, Isabella, made the trip to Mo. with JMA. RESEARCH FOCUS: My brick wall is John McDowell b. 1760's in PA. I would like to know where he is from and who his parents and siblings were. He married Nancy Linville in 1780's PA. I know he was friends with Peter Linville of Cross Creek, Washington Co, PA, so I am hoping that John can be found in that area as well.
