My grandfather, Goley Combs (s/o John L and Sally Deaton Combs)
md (1) Adina Combs Sept 15, 1927 (d/o Luther and Sarah 'Sally' Coomer Combs).
Goley and Adinah had four children ...  
 
   
Luther Combs was the s/o Seburn and Margaret 'Peggy' Combs Combs
Seburn was the son of Benjamin and Patsy Brown Combs
Margaret was the daughter of William and Wilmuth Combs Combs
and the Combs line continues .... :- ))
I do not have the parents of William or Wilmuth Combs.		 Adina Combs

Adina b June 19, 1909 - d Aug 10 1936
 
Goley Combs md July 12, 1937 (2) Mary Pruitt; b Jul 30, 1920;
(d/o William and Millie Cole Pruitt)
Goley and Mary had 13 children
This was the second marriage for both.
Mary had previously been married to Millard Riley - bef 1937
 
Mary died Mar 7, 1999 Goley Combs
Goley died Jan 5, 1999 

   
Goley and Mary lived here for years. I remember many times as a child, arriving late at night. Before the bridge was put in,
someone from the family would come across in a canoe, and take us across, usually one or two, to the other side. I remember,
too, they would either have to use oil lanterns or flashlights to light the way.

Nancy Bowling Turner Stamper 

Nancy was the second wife of John Wesley Stamper. She was the
widow of John Turner.

 This is Elijah 'Lige' Stamper;
s/o of John Wesley and 2nd wife,
Nancy Bowling ... md to Amanda Amis.

This is my great grandmother, Loudemia Riley Gilbert and 'moi' ...
My mom told me that whenever she changed my diaper, she would
sit one leg of the chair on my dresstail so I could not get away ... how funny!

Loudemia was the d/o 'Gransir' John Riley and Lydia Rice
     
This is my grandfather, Pearl Stamper.
Beside him is his sister, Jalia; and seated is their
father, William Stamper. This was the last time
'Bill' had his feet on the ground. Jalia was grandpa's only sibling. She married Charlie Gilbert,
a brother to Lydia ... my grandmother!		 Pearl Stamper  
     
This is my grandpa, Pearl Stamper; and his youngest son,
John Wess; and the mules ... Kate and Nell (?)		 Pearl and Lydia Gilbert Stamper 
    
Virgie Bishop was married to
Wilson Stamper; s/o Pearl and Lydia. 		 Wilson, Willie, John Wess and Floyd Stamper;
sons of Pearl and Lydia.

These are my grandparents, Pearl and Lydia Gilbert Stamper.
Everyone should have grandparents like mine ... (and may have ... :-)).
My grandmother never had an ill word for anyone. Grandpa had the
kindest heart; and loved his family!
