General Notes: James N Cornett, age 73, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003 at 1:00 pm at his residence. He was born in Morris Fork, Kentucky on June 9, 1930, the son of James and Liley Cornett. On June 8, 1957, he married Pauline Deaton. Buddy was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Army. He was employed by Champion International Papers for 38 years. During his time there, he served on the Social Committee as a Trustee and as an usher. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pauline Cornett and a daughter, Kimberly Cornett of Fairfield. Also by his devoted dog, Hailey. He is survived by three brothers, Luther Cornett of Manchester, Kentucky, Ray Cornett of Tampa, Florida and Vernon (Violet) Cornett of Glen Burnie, Maryland; five sisters, Frankie Watts of Middletown, Ohio, Alta Deaton of Miamisburg, Ohio, Alice Routt of Wilder, Kentucky, Dorothy Combs of Beattyville, Kentucky and Mary (Gene) Routt of Cincinnati, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by the Paul R Young Funeral Home, 3950 Pleasant Avenue, in Hamilton, Ohio. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2003 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and Wednesday, August 6, 2003 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the church. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant Run Presbyterian Church, 11565 Pippin Road, Cincinnati. Internment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park, Princeton Road, in Hamilton, Ohio, immediately following the service. The Rev David E Rule officiating.

Wayne Deaton, 72, of 6451 Greenbush Rd, Somerville, Ohio, passed away at 10 am Sunday, July 14, 2002 at his residence.
He was born on Feb 3, 1930 in Breathitt County, Ky and had lived in Ohio for 51 years. He was a set-up person at Miami Packaging for 25 years, retiring in 1993.
Mr Deaton was preceded in death by his parents, John and America Riley Deaton; a son, James Deaton, great-grandson Jordan Perkins; three brothers, Roscoe, Virgil and Trick Deaton; and a sister, Laura Collins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy; two sons, Larry Deaton of Middletown and Daniel (Sabrina) Deaton of Ludlow, Ky; three daughters, Marilyn (Monroe) Rednour of Middletown, Loretta (Robert) Staton of Camden and Rometta (Jeremiah) Blankenship of Somerville; a sister, Pearl Vohland of Metamora, Ind; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, an aunt, Jane Turner of Morris Fork, Ky; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
Arrangements: Visitation is today, july 16 from 5 to 8 pm at Herr-Rigggs Funeral Home, 210 S Main St, Middletown. Funeral services will be at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Isaacs and the Rev Ray Napier officiating. Internment will be at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton, Ohio.

Edna Stamper Eversole, 67 of Booneville, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 1990 at Good Samaritan, Lexington, KY
She was born in Breathitt County Kentucky on May 28, 1923, the daughter of Elijah and Amanda Amis Stamper. She was a member of the Morris Fork Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are her husband Kash Eversole, Booneville, KY; one son, John Edward Eversole, Booneville, KY; one daughter, Patricia Gail Sebastian, Florence, KY; one brother, Edward Stamper, Morris Fork; one sister, Marie Herald, Stanton, KY; three grandson, Shelby Sebastian, Florence, KY, John C Eversole and Jared Kash Eversole, both of Booneville and one granddaughter, Jennifer Leah Sebastian of Florence, KY.
Funeral services for Edna Eversole were held Friday, November 30, 1990 at 1 pm in the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Jow Powlas, Rev Jr Combs and Rev Dale Rule officiating. Burial followed in the Eversole Family cemetery.
