Third Generation 10. William Sebastian was born in 1770 in Wilkes Co, NC and died in 1840 at age 70.
General Notes: per Golden Ferguson 11-29-2009 / William SEBASTIAN, son of Benjamin, was bom in Virginia in 1770 and died in Wilkes County after 1840. He married Elizabeth CARTER in 1794. She was born in 1775 and died in 1866. She was the daughter of Heny and Millender CARTER. Heny CARTER was a Revolutionay soldier that fought at Ramseur"s Mill. Heny and Milly lived at the mouth of Rock Creek on the Yadkin River below North Wilkesboro. Elizabeth was an early member of Mulbery Church, a charter member of Cross Roads Church and a charter member of Zion Baptist Church near Hays, North Carolina where she remained a member until her death. William was a prominent fanner of the Hay meadow community. He served on juries, signed bonds and was a constable and an officer of the court in 1800. He received permission to build two gates across the road on his farm where the road crossed going from Trapill to Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
William married Elizabeth Carter, daughter of Henry Carter and Millender Ross, in 1794 in Wilkes Co, NC. Elizabeth was born in 1778 in Cumberland, VA and died in 1866 in Wilkes Co, NC at age 88.

William married Eliza Grimes, daughter of Adam Grimes and Unknown.

11. Nancy Sally Sebastian was born in 1780 in Wilkes Co, NC1 and died in 1822 in KY at age 42.
General Notes: Per Samuel E Sebastian notes ... I don't think William Hobart Sebastian was correct in stating that Nancy Sebastian Stamper, the wife of Jesse Stamper died in Missouri. The 1870 Census of Randolph County, MO lists:

This is probably George Riley Stamper and his mother, Polly Hammond Stamper. A Mary Stamper is also listed 1850 Census, Owen Co, KY age 50; born KY; and in same household - George (23 yrs), Martha (17 yrs), Eliza (15 yrs), David (13 yrs), Sarah (10 yrs) and Hugh (7 yrs).
Nancy married Jesse Holbrook Stamper, son of Jacob Stamper and Susannah 'Susan', about 1800 in Wilkes Co, NC. Jesse was born about 1781 in Wilkes Co, NC1 and died on 16 Jun 1845 in Eagle Creek, Owen Co, KY2 about age 64.
