The Kentucky Post - July 6, 2000Marie Jo Berge, 91, of
Carrollton, died Wednesday at King's Daughters Hospital in
Madison, Ind.
She was a retired teacher with Carroll County Schools,
having taught the third grade at Ninth Street Elementary
School in Carrollton, and a member of St. John Church,
Carrollton.
Mrs. Berge was a member of the
Carroll County
Retired Teachers Association, the
Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, Alpha Omicron
Pi sorority, the Carrollton chapter of the Daughters of the
American Revolution, Port William Historical Society and
Carroll County Senior Citizens. Her husband, Harry A. Berge,
died in 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Tomlinson of
Edgewater, Fla.; sons, Fred Berge of Kansas City, Mo., and
Jim Crutcher of Edgewater; three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at
St. John Church, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8
p.m. Friday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton.
Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery.
