president of KY Nurseymens Association. He d. 1:40 am Sat. morning at home on
U.S. 42.
20 yrs in Nursey business. First affiliated with Willaden Nursey, Sparta.
Opened in Carroll Co. in 1921 and was very successful..
A member of Louisville Nurserymens Asson and membership chairman of National
Assn.
b. 22 Mar 1900 in Carroll Co., son of Dudley and Stella Spillman Martin.
Survivors: wife Virgie and 3 children, viz. Mrs. Martha Wheeler of Worthville,
and Raymond and Edwina. Daughter Joan died in infancy. Stepsons Robert and
Charles Bethel, 2 sisters, Mrs. Neil Barrett, Burlington, & Mrs. Corrine
Vandergrift, 4 bros. Raymond & Vernon, Burlington, and Harold & Orville, Warsaw.
