Dewie E. Turpin
Dewie E. Turpin, 65, formerly of
Crawfordsville, died Sunday at The Waters Nursing Home
in Greencastle.
Mr. Turpin had worked for Harrison Steel and later at a race horse farm in Kentucky. His memberships included Garfield Apostolic Church. He attended Phelps School in Casey County, Ky.
He was born Nov. 21, 1941, in Casey
County, Ky., to Cosby and Ada B. Wesley Turpin.
Survivors include sons Donald (Monica) Turpin, Whitesville, Aaron Turpin, Washington, and Randy Turpin, Crawfordsville; daughter Trisha (Josh) Allen, Crawfordsville; brothers Gary (Jill) Turpin, Crawfordsville, and Charles (Carol) Turpin, Crawfordsville; and several grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for
10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Burkhart Funeral Home with the
Rev. Vernon Dowell officiating. Burial will follow at
Oak Hill Cemetery South. Friends may call 5-7 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
