Hustonville, died Tuesday at Homestead Nursing Home, Lexington.
Born Feb. 1, 1909, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Dave
and Cindy Ellis Peyton. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of
Rocky Ford Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many
years. She was the widow of Waitmon Paul Anderson.
Survivors include a sister, Esther Morgan of Liberty; and a number of
nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev.
Jackie Wilson. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

LIBERTY - Joseph "Jody" Wethington, 78, Wethington Road, died Monday at
Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
Born July 16, 1918, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Leonard
and Mary Wethington. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Bernard
Catholic Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lovie Lee Wethington; four sons, Billy Joe
Wethington of Casey Creek, Stanley Wethington of Greensburg, Larry
Wethington of Campbellsville and Thomas Wethington of Lexington; two
daughters, Shirley Holt of Columbia and Barbara Weddle of Liberty; two
brothers, Murrell Wethington and Verlin Wethington, both of Liberty; two
sisters, Genevieve Antle and Patricia Hash, both of Campbellsville; 16
grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Dorothy Mae Pendleton, 79, Dunnville Route 1, died Wednesday at West
Lake Regional Hospital, Columbia.
Born March 19, 1917, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late
Samuel Logan and Linnie Overstreet Lee. She was a homemaker and the
widow of John W. Pendleton.
Survivors are four sons, Morris Pendleton of Liberty, Bill Pendleton of
Columbia, and Montie Pendleton and Mike Pendleton, both of Dunnville; a
stepson, Wesley Pendleton, New Albany, Ind.; two daughters, Bonnie Meeks
of Columbia and Janett Meeks of Dunnville; a brother, Raymond Lee,
Liberty; four sisters, Ivadean Harrison of Columbia, Kathleen McQueary
of Liberty, and Carrie Mason and Beulah Cook, both of Indiana; 13
grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and
25 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Lorene Goodin and
Gertrude Jones, and two stepsons, Leslie and Russell Pendleton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the

Chadwell of Liberty and the late Willie Chadwell. He was a farmer.

MIDDLEBURG - The funeral for Carl "Toad" Floyd, 50, of Calvary Ridge
Road, Yosemite, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mount Calvary Baptist

He died Thursday in the Yosemite area after suffering an apparent heart
attack. Born Aug. 25, 1946, in Yosemite, he was the son of Anna Mae Buis
Montgomery of Russell Springs and the late Garland "Doc" Floyd. He was a
heavy equipment operator and a farmer and a member of Middleburg Baptist

Flona Belle Morgan, 102, of Arnold Towers, died Friday at her daughter's
home in Lawrenceburg.
Born Aug. 31, 1894, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late
William Franklin and Melissa Brown Hamilton. She was the widow of Esker
C. Morgan.
She was a retired housewife and mail carrier, and a member of Mount
Olive Christian Church in Casey County.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel Biddix; and four sons,
Otis Lee, William Franklin, Glen and Tyler Morgan.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Brinkman of Danville and Dottie
Jo Wireman of Lawrenceburg; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren;
and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

Ewell N. Rogers
LIBERTY - Ewell N. Rogers, 66, Franklin, Ind., died Sunday in Franklin.
Born Feb. 7, 1931, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Louis and
Elsie Emerson Rogers. He was a retired employee of Arvin Industries in
Franklin.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Williamson Rogers; two daughters,
Teresa Vinson of Shelbyville, Ind., and Debra Johnson of Franklin; three
sons, Buell and Randy Rogers, both of Franklin, and Jimmy Rogers of
Trafalgar, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Shirlene Thompson of Liberty and
Yvonne Houghton of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, Alton and Glen Rogers,
both of Trafalgar; 16 grandchildren and six step grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial
will be in Whited Cemetery.

Ova Alice Russell
MORELAND - Services for Ova Alice Russell, 62, Moreland, will be 2 p.m.
Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Denton. Burial
will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
She died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center,
Lexington.
Born August 31, 1934, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late
W.A. and Mary Lou Adams Russell.
Survivors include two brothers, W.A. Russell Jr. of Waynesburg and
Hoover Russell of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Lilian Jones of
Moreland and Alberta Pruitt of Hot Springs, Ark.

Talmadge R. Derringer
LIBERTY - Talmadge Russell Derringer, 67, Junction City, died there
Tuesday.
Born June 2, 1929, in Casey County, he was a son of the late James and
Ida Mae Hewitt Derringer. He was retired from Arvin Industries.
Survivors are his wife, Nettie Marie Derringer; two sons, Talmadge C.
Derringer, Campbellsville, and Terry L. Derringer, Danville; three
daughters, Patricia Statom of Junction City, Connie Posey of Louisville
and Karen Atwood, Liberty; two brothers, Clifton Derringer, Topeka,
Kan., and Rod Derringer, Monrovia, Ind.; six sisters, Martha Floy and
Geneva Dolch, both of Cincinnati, Dotha Scott of Sacramento, Calif.,
Gracie Taylor of Whiteland, Ind., Velma Allen of Monrovia and Joyce
Atwood, San Diego; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the
Rev. Gary Story. Burial will be in Caney Fork Cemetery.

Sadie P. Durham
STANFORD - Services for Sadie Pearl Durham, 65, Powell Street, will be 2
p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Kiper. Burial will
be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at home.
Born Jan. 31, 1932, in Casey County, she was a daughter of Sue Holt
Burchett of Hustonville and the late Sam Burchett. She was a homemaker
and the widow of Hollis Ray Durham Sr.
Additional survivors include three sons, Hollis R. Durham II of Kings
Mountain, Ronald L. Durham of Stanford, and James T. Durham of Crab
Orchard; two daughters, Linda L. Durham and Claudia M. Durham, both of
Stanford; three brothers, William R. Burchett of Junction City, James C.
Burchett of Hustonville, and Garnett Burchett of Lexington; five
sisters, Josie Goins of Danville, Jewell Scott of Brooklyn, Ind., Piney
Lane of Mooresville, Ind., Naomi Burchett of Junction City and Pamela
Luster of Hustonville; and 10 grandchildren.

Ralph W. Carman
MORELAND - Ralph Waldo Carman, 86, Deltona, Fla., formerly of the
Moreland area, Saturday in Deltona.
Born Feb. 11, 1911, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Orville
and Augusta Waldner Carman. He was a retired Elliott Transportation
Company employee and was a member of Deltona Baptist Church where he was
a deacon for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Reid Carman; two daughters, Jean
Carman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Carol Carman of Atlanta, Ga.; two
brothers, Dale Carman of Fayetteville, Ohio, and Junior Carman of Beech
Grove, Ind.; a sister, Doris Peyton of Hustonville; a grandchild and two
great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the
Rev. E.M. Helton. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

Wallace I. McQueary
HARRODSBURG - Services for Wallace Irene McQueary, 81, Belmont Court,
will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home by the
Revs. Bobby Logue and Larry Harris. Burial will be in Poplar Hill
Cemetery in Casey County.
She died Saturday at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
Born July 26, 1915, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Earl
and Amanda Carmichal Luster. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch
Methodist Church. She was the widow of Aubrey Clayton McQueary.
Survivors include three sons, George McQueary of Jeffersonville, Ind.,
Albert McQueary of Junction City, and Aubrey McQueary Jr. of
Harrodsburg; five daughters, Audrey Foulk of Jeffersonville, Ind.,
Pauline Tyler of Mercer County, Diana Heinly of Valley Station, Effie
Hamner of Lancaster and Dorothy Schlenker of La Grange; a brother, Jesse
Luster; four sisters, Goldia Lopez of Lawrenceburg, Effie Gardner and
Dorothy Fields, both of Harrison, Ohio, and Alma Sherrill of Yosemite;
28 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by three infant children and a daughter, Deva
Marie Bottom.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

LIBERTY - Hallie Mae Allen, 70, Cincinnati, formerly of Casey County,
died Saturday in Cincinnati.
Born August 23, 1926, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late
Marion and Flaudia Wooldridge Wilson. She was a waitress at Country
Kitchen in Cincinnati.
Survivors include her husband, Noble Allen Sr.; four sons, Noble Allen
Jr., Floyd Allen, Louis Allen and Ronnie Allen; four daughters, Darlene
Roy, Marlene Thomas, Brenda Lee, and Denise Allen; nine sisters, Leslie,
Laura, Rosie, Lauren, Treva, Verthal, Edna, Norma Jean, and Willow Dean;
five brothers, Lucian, Richard, Luther, Cleo and Chester Wilson; 13
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the
Rev. Daryl Coe. Burial will be in Gum Lick Cemetery.

MIDDLEBURG - Services for Christine Carman Hixson, 84, Kings Mountain,

Born April 10, 1913, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late E.V.
and Martha Falconberry Carman. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount
Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Mack Jordan Hixson; two sons, Lucian C.
Hixson of West Chester, Ohio, and Louis D. Hixson of Sunman, Ind.; a
sister, Gustava White Patterson of Yosemite; seven grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may go to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Heritage Hospice.
