Swearingin Cemetery

Located in the vicinity of the intersection of Gordon Lick and Butchertown Roads in Casey County KY., on a farm owned by Mr. Hartford Boyle (Old Hafley Farm). There are a total of 15 graves.

 
David Swearingin 1828 - May 13 1875

The stone was provided by the VA for His service in the Civil War CoI. 8th Ky Cav. The stone was set Saturday August 16 2008.

 

Amanda Ellen Swearingin 1834- July 14 1914 (w/o David)

 

George Swearingin 1855 - May 03 1921 (s/o David & Amanda)
 
Other Children of David and Amanda Ellen Swearingin buried here in unknown graves are Son Godby Infant born and died abt 1860 and Virginia 3 yr old (no dates) infant daughter of Eva and Marion Maxey

 The field stone markers of  the other grave sites have been marked with aluminum tags except for Dave Griffin, who's site location is unknown.
