In the
Adair County News, Wednesday, August 21, 1918 Still Destroyed Deputy U.S. Marshalls, Ellis Workman and J.C. Drewry, made a raid on a moonshine distillery last Wednesday morning. It was located in Casey county just over the Russell line, and it is said that it was owned by [the] Roy Bros. It had a capacity of twenty-five gallons. All the beer was emptied, the tubs and still destroyed and the house burned. There were no men in sight. ["The house" refers to the still-house, not a dwelling place.] |
