Our first Clark Co. Duvall was Thompson
Duvall, son of William and Mary Duvall of Fayette
Co., KY. The parents of William and Mary are
unknown. Thompson bought land in Clark Co. in
1799, and he married Mary Polly LaForce there in
1808 (LaForce Family History).
They appear to
have lived on land along Boone's Creek which had
belonged to her uncles, David and William Robinson.
Mary died between 1823-25, and Thompson died
around May 1832, either in the Boone's Creek or
Stoner Creek area.
Thompson and Mary Polly's children were
Sarah Ann, William R., Alexander P., Lucy Jane,
Mary Agnes, and David. Only two children remained
in Clark County: Sarah Ann (who married William
Anderson) died between 1850-1854, and David who died
young between 1840-1841.
William and Sarah Ann Duvall Anderson's
children were William T., Joseph, Abner, Thomas, and
Charles.
