He married (1) MARTHA BURCH 14 May 1818 in Clark Co., KY, daughter of GEORGE BURCH and MOLLY UNKNOWN. She died Bef. 1823 in Clark Co., KY. He married (2) MARY BURCH 12 Oct 1823 in Clark Co., KY, daughter of GEORGE BURCH and MOLLY UNKNOWN. She was born Abt. 1802, and died in Clark Co., KY.

The following is from a bio-sketch by John B. Wells, III, that I received from Keith Green, a descendant.
"Edmund Green, the third son of John and Elizabeth (Collns) Green, was born in Culpepper County, Virginia, on March 1, 1792. He came to Kentucky after his father's death in 1817with his Mother and siblings and settled in Clark County, KY. Edmund married at least twice, both times to daughters of George Burch. He First married Patsy Burch on May 14, 1818, but she died in 1822. On October 12, 1823, he remarried in Clark County (KY) to Patsy's sister, Mary Burch.
"Edmund Green was a stone mason by trade and made his living by building houses throughout the Bluegrass utilizing native stone. In addition, he supervised slave gangs in building the famous "slave walls" that dominate the Clark county landscape.
Although he owned very little land Edmund (Edward) Green was a respected member of the community and served as major of the local militia. By 1850 he had four sons: Daniel, Thomas, Peter, and Edward. Edmund Green died in November 1857 and is buried near his mother's grave in the Green Graveyard near Becknerville in Clark County, KY."

MACKINAW-
Harlan Green, 89, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at Hopedale Hospital, Hopedale. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the MackinawChristian Church, the Rev. Taylor O. Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Mackinaw Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Haensel Funeral Home.
He was born April, 30, 1884 at Middletown, KY. a son of Edward and Sytha Ann Uell Green. He married Nanie Winkler Dec. 27, 1904 in Kentucky. She died in 1965.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Launa Doty, Morton; Mrs.Helen Arthur, Creve Couer; Mrs. Mona Meyer, Annaheim, Calif; Mrs. Mary Paul, Annaheim Calif; three sons, Henry, Pekin; Robert and Frank, both of Morton; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; a sister. Mrs Sarah Bishop, Mount Sterling, Ky.
Five brothers, five sisters, a daughter, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Mackinaw Christian Church and the Modern Woodmen of America. He had lived at the Hopedale Nursing Home for the past five years.

The "Winchester Sun" reported that Frank Green, age 71, died at the home of his daughter, May Cuddy at 100 Magnolia Street and "was a retired farmer, born in Montgomery county, but a long-time resident of Clark Co. According to the newspaper he was survived by two daughters, Bessie Borgerson of Fayette County (KY) and Mrs. Cuddy, and one son FRANK GREEN, JUNIOR. Frank Green was buried in the Winchester Cemetery (Clark Co., KY) near his brother Andrew Jackson Green.
