JAMES EARL “JIM” WELLS, age 69, died Tuesday, October18, 2005, at the Okeechobee Health Care Facility in Okeechobee, FL. He was born October 1, 1936 in Winchester, KY, the son of Leonard and Hildrith Florence Wells. He owned a carpet store in Mt. Sterling, KY before moving to Okeechobee in 1979. He was a self-employed flooring technician until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Wells enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Mr. Wells is survived by his wife, Egretta and three children, James Larry (Kellye) Wells, LaDonna (Charlie) Rowe and Jennifer Yvonne Milligan, all of Winchester, KY. Also surviving are his two stepchildren Gregory Manning (Sharyn) Cornett of Lake Worth, FL. and Kelli Cornett (Mark) Boyles of Belfast, Ireland. In addition, he also has four grandchildren, Ryan Wells, Joshua Wells, Jennifer Himes, and Dalton Rowe and two step grandchildren, Andrew and Austin Cornett

Thanks to the influence and sharing of the Gospel, a friend recently led Jim to Christ, and now, after a very long illness, he is at peace with the Lord.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 3:30 PM at the Scobee Funeral Home, 219 West Lexington Avenue, Winchester, KY. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oakview Baptist Church Building Fund.
