The Obituary of Charlie F. Chism

Charlie F. Chism, 72, of the Beverly White Towers, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday (October 27, 1985) at the Clark County Hospital after a long illness. A native of Clark County, he was the son of the late Taylor and Vinnie Jones Chism, a retired farmer and a member of the Ford Holiness Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lydia Tolson Chism: a son, Stanley Chism, and a grandson, Stanley Chism, Jr., both of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Harvey Chism, Ford, and Jackie Chism, Winchester; three stepsons, James Blanton, Cold Water, Michigan; Mitchell Banks, Lexington, and Arnold Banks, Winchester; two stepdaughters, Loretta Myers, Winchester and Ethel Hodge, Richmond, and several step-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ford Holiness Church by the Rev. Leonard Hill and Rev. Roscoe Collins. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thurston Thompson, Bob Eldridge, Cecil White, Ray Hodge, Dallas Abney, and Rodney Hisle.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the church. Scobee Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
