to
be with the Lord Monday while surrounded by his family at Ball Memorial He had owned and operated Dishman's Meat Markets in New Castle and Mt. Summit, Cleveland Locker Plant in Springport, and Randolph County Meats in Winchester where he provided employment and income to many of the local community members while also supporting the needs of his family. He developed Prairie Heights Subdivision (originally Dishman Prairie Heights) in Springport where he raised his family. During semi-retirement he continued to develop and grow personal relationships with family, friends, and acquaintances by finding a common topic of interest with each. One way we saw these relationships in action was through his love of gardening as he gave freshly-grown produce to those around him. He also enjoyed semi-retirement by hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. Many of his Saturdays were spent at the flea-market where he popped pork rinds and of course, built relationships with each around him. As a member of the Church of God he often shared his wisdom and life experiences through testimony at Brown Road and Mechanicsburg Churches of God, and previously the Highway 39 Church of God in Athens, TN.
