Frederick Hartwell Sawyers was born on Sep. 11, 1845 in Washington County, VA, and died on June 3, 1926 in Clinton County, KY. He was married twice, first to Sarah Mackey (b. 1848 - d. May 28, 1892) on Oct. 9, 1867, and second to Nancy Leann Guthrie (b. July 6, 1868 - d. Apr 29, 1949), on Aug. 28, 1895.
