The Beaty Cemetery in Albany, Clinton County KY was established in 1850 with the burial of Alexander Beaty and is still being used on a limited basis. It is located in the center of a valley where at one time the Beatys owned and farmed the land along Lick Creek "as far as you could see in all directions."

Directions to the cemetery:

The cemetery is near Albany, KY. "Take US 127 south until you come to a T; turn right on KY 415. Cross a small bridge, then turn right on KY 968. After approximately three miles you go down a hill and there's a milk parlor on the left. Turn around and come back to top of the hill and turn right into dirt drive. Cemetery's about 100 yards on right." Actually it's not very hard to find now - even on the first pass by the top of the hill. There have been some recent improvements including a green street sign out on the road that identifies the dirt drive as Beaty Cemetery Rd., a big sign at the cemetery saying "Beaty Cemetery," and a chain link fence around the cemetery.
