On this 8th day
of November, 1887, at Albany, County
of Clinton,
State of Kentucky, before me, W. H. Egleton a Special Examiner
of the Pension Office, personally appeared Michael Brown ~,
who being by me first duly sworn to answer truly all interrogatories propounded
to himduring
this Special Examination of aforesaid Pension Claim, deposes and says: :
His age is 48, P. O. is Seventy Six, Clinton Co. Kentucky. Occupation
- Farmer. Was Private of Co. C 12th Ky. Infantry.
I knew Eli Brown from several years before the war, and he was a
stout man.
After Eli Brown came out of the Army I could not say what his condition
was. I can’t remember that I saw him more than once after his return from the
Army.
I did not work on the Rail Road at the time he did. And I don’t know anything
at all about his getting hurt.
If he was injured while working on the Rail Road I have no knowledge
of it. I did not work on the same but a few days.
I do not know when he died or the cause of his death.
I am not related to client and I am not interested in the case.
