James Curley Gabbert son of William Gabbert and Kittie Ellen Luttrell, of Clinton County.

This photo was taken in 1864.

According to Curley, his father, William, served for the Confederacy and this photo was taken when he came in for a visit. It was a glass negative and William carried it in his pocket - explaining the scratches.

This visit was the last time he saw his father as William was killed at Woodbury, KY. There is no documentation of William's Civil War activities.
