Known as "Ottie", Ottilda Ballenger McKinley was born 12 March 1876 and died 23 March 1918. The mother of 10 boys and one girl, she was the daughter of John Ballenger and Nancy Gobbert.

This second photo, taken about 1892. She was about 16 to 18 years old and had beautiful red hair.

This third photo was taken just prior to her marriage to George McKinley on 12 December 1897.
