November 1934
At a
special term of the Lee County Kentucky, In the City of Beattyville, at the
court house Thursday November 28, 1934.
Present-Hon. Green Kilburn, Judge
This day
appeared before me, Henry Brandenburg, who has made the complaint of the mental
condition of Hargis Brandenburg, who was discharged from the Eastern State
Hospital on ___,193_, this part was tried on the 25th day of
September,1932, and since that time has not been restored to citizenship (?),
and it appears from an investigation concerning his mental condition that he is
in need of hospitalization for his own welfare and protection, and that he
should be returned to Eastern State Hospital, and the Judge of this court so
adjudged.
Ordered
that Court adjourn
Green
Kilburn, Judge
Note:
Hargis' father died in a very suspicious way. Thomas Brandenburg worked for the
road Department. He was found in his truck in flood water of a creek at what was
known as Slabtown, a section of Beattyville. After the death of his father
Hargis who was retarded had no one to care for him.
