John Riley Combs, born Oct. 09,1877, in Litt Carr, Knott Co., Ky. died April 06, 1947. Husband of Mary Turner, their home was in Orkney, Ky. He was son of Andrew Combs & Nancy Francis, he was one of 13 sons. His children are Dorothy Moore, Herbert, Irvin & Evelyn Griffie. John Smith Tina "Tiney" Johnson, shot Husband John Smith. Have made contact with his Grandaughter-(He was married at least 3 times)

Jonathan Watkins

Born July 16, 1849 in Magoffin County, KY. Died

March 11, 1932 in Portsmouth, OH (Scioto County) in the home of his daughter Lucy. He was the son of Sylvester

Wadkins/Watkins and Hester (Hattie) Tussey. The Grandson of Benedict Wadkins and Barbara Stanley. He was

married to Margaret Skeens on March 04, 1869 in Floyd County, KY. They had one son Thomas Watkins born

June 28, 1871 in Floyd County. After Margaret's death he was awarded guardian of their son Thomas.

After his first wife's death Jonathan married Anna Hicks on November 08, 1876 at the home of Wesley Hicks in Floyd County.

No children born of this marriage.

Jonathan married my grandmother Millie Nelson on February 21, 1901 in Greenup County, KY. They were divorced on August 09,

1922 in Antrim County, Michigan. Millie was the daughter of John Nelson and Nancy Kitchen. Jonathan and Millie had six children.

Married 1925 to Joseph Wallen son of Shelby"Banks"Wallen and Rebecca Belle Gearheart. I am just guessing but I would say this picture was made shortly after she and Joseph were married.

Josephine Campbell Wallen Hicks b. 05-06-1912 In Heller, Pike Co. KY, d. 03-19-1967 in Warsaw, Indiana. Married Joe Baker Wallen 1924. 5 children: Mary Ellen Rose, Dewey Vernon, Joe David, Angie Bell Horn, Paul Edward. Divorced Joe 1939, Married Earl Hicks 1944. Josephine's Parents were William Zenith Campbell & Mary Allen. Josephine and her husband Earl were the proprietors of a small restaurant in W. Prestonsburg Kentucky across from the train depot before moving to Indiana sometime during the 1950.
