Adjoining Lyon's line on the East to extend towards Green River so as to include the quantity as near in a square as it can be done by binding on Clark's line & the River & to include his improvement.
GREEN RIVER LAND GRANT CERT # 573 - 1798 - 180 ACRES
Charles Scott, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, to all to whom these presents shall come greeting know ye that by signature and in consideration of a Certificate number Five Hundred and Seventy Three, granted by the commissioners in One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Eight, agreeably to an act of Assembly, for encouraging and granting relief to settlers. There is granted by this said Commonwealth unto ISAAC HOGLAND a certain tract or parcel of containing One Hundred and Eighty acres by survey bearing date the Ninth day of October, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Eight. Lying and being in the County of Green on the South side of Green River and bounded as followeth to wit:
Beginning at a Sugar tree, Beech and Popular on the bank of the River.
Thence, with Lyon's line, S 34 E, 190 poles to a stake.
Thence, with or near Clark's line, N56 E, 138 poles to the river.
Thence, down the river 100 poles to where a small cut leaves the river.
Thence, down SW with its different meanders to where it enters into the River.
Thence, down the river 20 poles to a Beech & Hickory, then along an arm of the river to where it enters into the river.
Thence, down the main river to the place of beginning.
With its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenance to the said ISAAC HOGLAND and his heirs forever. In witness whereof of the said Charles Scott, esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the Twenty Ninth day of May, in the year of our LORD One Thousand Eight Hundred and Nine, and of the Commonwealth the sevententh.
