HARPER'S FERRY - 1879

In the southeastern part of Henry county, 16 miles southeast of Newcastle, the county seat; three miles southeast of Pleasureville, its nearest shipping point on the Mt. Sterling division of the L. C. & L. R.R. and 60 miles northeast of Louisville. Weekly mail and stage to Bagdad. Population 20. E. G. Harper, postmaster.
