Nancy R. Tanner, 94, of Eaton, OH, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at heartland of Eaton in Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Frankie Broad Ricketts, attended the Campbellsburg Second Baptist Church and St. Margaret Episcopal Church in Dayton, OH and worked as a librarian. She is survived by her cousin and caregiver Rosa Jones Hawes, Dayton, OH. Graveside services were held at noon Wednesday, April 9 at the Campbellsburg Second Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. E. B. Higgins, Pastor of the Campbellsburg Second Baptist Church, officiated. Ransdell Funeral Home of Campbellsburg was in charge of arrangements.

Allison Willoughby Taylor-Robinson
Allsion Willoughby Taylor-Robinson, 38, passed away on Sunday 16, 2012. She was a fund-raiser for the Charitable Research Foundation and a member of Jacobs Well International Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Lindon �Sug� and Martha Powell and John and Lucille Willoughby. Allsion is survived by her mother: Martha Powell Willoughby and her father: Jack K. Willoughby; children: Whitney Willoughby, Emery Taylor-Thomas and Avery Taylor Thomas; siblings: Kristi Willoughby Davidsaver and Jonathan Dru (Ronda) Willoughby; Uncle: Lin G. (Sandy) Powell; aunts: Sally Bond-Lowrey and Frances (Gene) Bennett. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Pearson�s in Louisville with burial in the New Castle Cemetery.

Ethel Roberts Taylor, 80, of Beach grove, IN died Friday, May 16, 2003 at Beach Grove Meadows. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Mabel Whitaker Roberts, a waitress at Chan�s Chinese Restaurant and a Baptist. She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Bunten and Brenda Chandler, both of Indianapolis, IN; one brother: David Roberts, Campbellsburg; one sister: Doris Roberts Griffith, Campbellsburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Taylor. Funeral service es were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, may 19 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg. Rev. Carl Rucker officiated. Burial was in the Campbellsburg Cemetery.

She was a retired nurse�s aide, a member of the Port Royal United Methodist Church and the daughter of the late Henry Tingle and Jennifer Teeters Tingle. She is survived by one daughter: Ruth Ann (Walter) Test, Bradenton, FL; three sons: Dan Taylor, Turners Station, Joe Taylor, Port Royal and Larry D. Taylor, Frankfort; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abner Taylor and three brothers. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Laughlin, Pastor of the Port Royal United Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Port Royal Cemetery.

Irene Hawkins Taylor, 98, of Carrollton, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Green Valley Health and Rehab in Carrollton. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Pearl Hundley Hawkins. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Taylor, a daughter, Judy Cox, sons, Richard Taylor, Raymond �Dutch� Taylor, Roland Taylor and John Taylor. She is survived by six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Rucker officiated. Interment was in the Port Royal Cemetery.

Jeff �Monkey� Taylor, 46, of New Castle, died Friday, August 30, 2002 in Trimble County. He was an employee of the State Highway Department in Shelby County. He is survived by two daughters: Jeanie Taylor and Summer (Perry) Brewer, both of New Castle; his mother: Mildred (Alfred) Jackson, Bedford; his father: Alfred A. Taylor, Lawrenceburg, IN; two sisters: Brenda (Richard) Pettit, Lawrenceburg, IN and Emma (Lorenzo) Hicks, Tampa, FL; one brother: Steve Taylor, Bedford; two half-sisters: Connie (Mike) Lane, Lawrenceburg, IN and Helena Taylor, St. Petersburg, FL; five half-brothers: William Zosel and Matthew Zosel, both of Tampa, FL, Timmy, Norman and Alfred, Jr., all of Lawrenceburg, IN and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Dr. David Charlton, Pastor of the New Castle Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Joseph D. �Joe� Taylor, 79, of Campbellsburg, died Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. Son of the late Abner �Boots� and Goldine Tingle Taylor, he worked as the Operations Department Supervisor at the Kentucky Utilities Ghent Plant. Joe was retired Master Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force. He served a year in Vietnam and was on Embassy Duty in London and Tel Aviv and received the National Defense Service Medal. Joe was a member of the Port Royal United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Darlene Staples Taylor, Campbellsburg; one daughter: Maresa (Randy) Fawns, Shelbyville; one son: Paul Taylor, Virginia Beach, VA; one step-son: Adam (Deeanne) West, Eminence; a step-daughter-in-law: Melissa West, Milton; brothers: Dan Taylor, Turners Station and Larry (Tracy) Taylor, Frankfort; sister: Ruth Ann (Walt) Test, Bradenton, FL and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Eric West. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Interment was in the Port Royal Cemetery.

Lennie Gilbert Taylor, 85, of New Castle, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Alvin and Anna Adams Gilbert. She joined the new Castle Baptist Church in 1947 and started the church nursery. Lennie was a member of the Henry County Farmerette Homemakers for more than 40 years. She is survived by her husband: Fred Carroll Taylor, New Castle; three sons: Kenneth (Karen) Taylor, Steve (Judy) Taylor and David (Connie) Taylor, four grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 4 at the New Castle Baptist Church. Dr. Dave Charlton, Pastor of the First Christian Church, Shelbyville, officiated, assisted by Bro. Daniel Lowry, Pastor of the New Castle Baptist Church. Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Russell A. Taylor, 69, of Campbellsburg, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville. Russell retired as a machinist and continued his livelihood at Wal-Mart in LaGrange. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church and the united Steel Workers of America. He is survived by his wife: Judy L. Taylor, Campbellsburg; children: Khris (Wayne) Fields, Walton, Denise (Joe) LaGrange and Senior Airman Josh (Amanda) Aaron, Campbellsburg; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Huff, Pastor of the Providence Baptist Church, officiated.

James Byron Tennill, Sr., 90, of Louisville, died April 7, 2012. He was born February 8, 1922 in Chaplin, the youngest son of George W. and Maude Driskell Tennill. Jim owned and operated River Road Auto Parts for 30 years and then was a realtor for 30 years. He was a life-long Methodist and a charter member of Christ Church United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two older brothers: Wesley and F. M. �Bud� Tennill; and his wife of 52 years, Virginia Thurman Tennill. He is survived by his son: James B. (Priscilla Garland) Tennill, Jr. Louisville; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 16 at Christ Church United Methodist. Interment was in the Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

She was a former employee of the Masonic Home of Shelbyville, a member of the Rockbridge United Methodist Church and the daughter of the late Stephen and Cordie Bruce Beverly. She is survived by one son: Alfred J. Hinton, Louisville; one sister: Beatrice Roberts, Bethlehem; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thacker. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Berry and Inez Snook. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at the Campbellsburg Baptist Church. Rev. Shawn Golden officiated. James Clark West, 59, of Eminence, died Monday, January 13, 2003 at his residence after an illness. He was the son of the late Girtie and Mary Lee Walden West, a native of Jefferson County, a U. S. Army veteran, a construction laborer and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife: Betty Dennison West; five sons: Bobby and Travis West, both of Frankfort, Tracy West, Wildomar, CA, Robert West, Maryland and James Clark West, Paoli, IN; four daughters: Robin West, Eminence, Katherine West, Shoals, IN, Jodie West, West Baden, IN and Donna Charles West, Paoli, IN; one sister: Pat (Don) Rodgers, Louisville; one brother: Bob West, Salem, NH; thirteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and two aunts. The body was cremated. Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A memorial service was held.

She is survived by her daughter: Sara Whitfield, Campbellsburg; two sons: Mark Whitfield, Carrollton and Paul Whitfield, Campbellsburg; her father: Gus �Jiggs� Walters, Carrollton; and two brothers: William Walters and Daniel Walters, both of Carrollton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Whitfield and one brother. Funeral service es were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4 at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Rev. Amanda Hines officiated. Burial was in the Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Benjamin L. Wilcke, 24, of Louisville, formerly of Bethlehem, died Saturday, October 28, 2006, in his home of a gunshot wound fired by an unknown assailant. He attended Ballard High School as well as the University of Louisville. He was also a server and a bartender in various restaurants in the Louisville area. He is survived by his parents: Richard and Janet Wilcke, Bethlehem; three sisters: Ardith Keck, LaGrange, Caroline Stephens, Clarksville, IN and Madlen Wilcke, Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by his brother, William. A private memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 3 at the Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home, Middletown.
