Eddie Sharp, 65, of New Castle, died Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was the son of the late John Edward and Dorothy Leo Brown Sharp. He is survived by his daughter: Marian S. Marlow, Sulphur and one son, Tracy O. Sharp, New Castle. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15th, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Nick Coleman of Sulphur officiated. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery. Henry County Local February 16, 2011
William Douglas �Bill� Spillman, 99, of Louisville, died Thursday, February 10, 2011, at The Richwood in LaGrange. He was the son of the late Walton Hurst Spillman and Ethel Irby Spillman. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran and served during WWII. He is survived by his wife: Dolores Kolter Spillman, Louisville; two children: Elizabeth Spillman Henry and Douglas Lee Spillman, both of Louisville. A private service was held with interment in the Bedford Cemetery. Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford, was in charge of arrangements. Henry County Local February 16, 2011
Mary Lee Stivers Stevens, 88, of Louisville, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Daughter of the late Harvey and Geneva Burnett Stivers, she retired from General Motors after 28 years of service in Flint, MI. A native of Henry County, she also lived in Danville and was a member of the Galela Baptist Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse E. Stevens and two brothers: James and Deward Stivers. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20th, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery. David L. Stewart, 61, of New Castle, died Saturday, April 5, 2003 at his residence. He was a retired school teacher, Chief Regional Investigator Office of Public Advocacy State of Kentucky, member and deacon of the New Castle Baptist Church, former owner of Stewart�s Hardware, avid woodworker and fisherman and the son of the late David Forrest and Gladys H. Eades Stewart. He is survived by his wife: Linda McCarty Stewart, New Castle; two sons: Brad Stewart and Tim L. Stewart, New Castle; five grandchildren: Curtis, Kyle, Michael, Ryan and Shelby Stewart, all of New Castle. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 8th at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Dr. David Charlton, Pastor of the New Castle Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by Ken McCarty. Heloise Ray Stafford, 86, of Campbellsburg, died Tuesday, November 28, 2011, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Harrison and Allene McCulley Ray. She is survived by two sons: Daniel Stafford and Paul Stafford, both of Campbellsburg. Memorial graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3rd, at the Port Royal Cemetery. The Rev.
