Ronnie Maddox
Ronald E. �Ronnie� Maddox, 67, of Eminence, died Thursday, December 27, 2001 at his residence. He was a native of Henry County, the son of the late John Thomas and Bessie Adler Maddox, a truck driver and a member of the New Hope Church of God, Eminence. He is survived by his wife: Viola Maddox, Eminence; six sons: Danny Maddox and David Maddox, both of Bethlehem, Johnny Maddox, Mark Maddox and Dale Maddox, all of Louisville and Kenny �LuLu� Maddox, Meade County; three daughters: Rhonda Maddox, Meade County, Robin Horton, Indiana and Carolyn Cummings, LaGrange; twenty-eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30 at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Herbert L. Foster, New Hope Church of God, officiated. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Carl Ray Mahoney, 54, of Louisville, died Monday, September 6, 2004 at his residence. He was a member of the Church of God, Louisville, a Veteran of the U.S. Army and the son of the late Charlie Mahoney. He is survived by his wife: Linda Mahoney, Louisville; his mother: Alma Mahoney, Carrollton; five sisters: Cuba (James) Palmer, Gratz, Bonnie (Chester) Smith, Lockport, Charlene (Terry) Emery, English, Rita (Bill) Snow, Ghent and Brenda (Terry) Smith, Frankfort; two brothers: William Mahoney, Turners Station and Terry Mahoney, Campbellsburg and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Mary Wilburn, Pastor of the Lighthouse Worship Center officiated. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Mildred Ruth Mahoney, 67, of Shelbyville, died Monday, April 12, 2004 at her residence. She was a native of Henry County, the daughter of the late Noah and Mary Bell Jennings Dixon and a member of the Grace Assembly Church, Shelbyville. She is survived by two sisters: Elizabeth Spurr, Indianapolis, IN and Hallie Summith, Shelbyville; one brother: Joe Dixon, New Castle; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 14 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Albert Burkhead, Pastor of the Bethesda Church of God, Shelbyville, officiated, assisted by Sister Brenda Higgins, assistant pastor of the Bethesda Church of God. Interment was in the Point Pleasant Cemetery.

Donald G. Marsee, 67, of LaGrange, formerly of Eminence, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Louisville. He was a native of Henry County, the son of the late William Robert and Edna Edith Meeks Marsee, a U. S. Navy Veteran and a retired aide at Central State Hospital, Louisville. He is survived by one son: Michael Marsee, Shelbyville; two brothers: William O. Marsee, Smithfield and Jack K. Marsee, LaGrange and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Harrison Lynn Marsee. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, at the New Castle Cemetery. Rev. Nick Coleman, Sulphur, officiated. Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jack K. Marsee, 82, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at The Richwood Nursing Center, LaGrange. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and the son of the late William and Edna Edith Meeks Marsee. He is survived by his wife: Peggy Jones Marsee, LaGrange; two sons: Allen K, Marsee, Pleasureville and Dennis E. Marsee, Simpsonville. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Duncan, Pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Florence Tingle Marshall, 80, of New Castle, died Monday, December 2, 2002 at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange. She was a native of Trimble County, the daughter of the late Pete and Fannie Tingle and a member of the New Castle Christian Church. She is survived by one daughter: Patricia A. Marshall, Lubbock, TX; one son: Bill Marshall, Somerset; two brothers: Jay Tingle, Campbellsburg and Dee Tingle, Eminence; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Marshall. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Coleman, Pastor of the New Castle Christian Church, officiated, assisted by Dr. David Charlton, Pastor of the New Castle Baptist Church. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

He was a native of Henry County, the son of the late Floyd and Frances Aldridge Martin, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, a self-employed painter, carpenter and farmer and the Cropper Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Catherine Bennett Martin, Shelbyville; three daughters: Opal Gardner, Fincfville, Cathy Mitchell, Shelbyville and Jeanie Robbins, Pleasureville; five sisters: Eliza Lee Stevens, Russellville, Anna W. Raisor, Louisville, Mary Lawrence Clouse, West Chester, OH, Jeanie Martin, Eminence and Marie Downey, Defoe; three grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27 at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Jesse Baxter, chaplain of the Masonic Home, officiated. Burial was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

He is survived by his wife: Elaine Taylor Martin, Eminence; four daughters: Betty (Phil) Spradling and Linda Martin Wilson, both of Campbellsburg, Judy Martin and Martha Martin, both of Louisville; one son: Tom martin, Louisville; one sister: Lucille Reeves, Eminence; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 29 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Eades, Pastor of the Eminence United Pentecostal Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. James A. She was the daughter of the late Ben Clarence and Viola Clifton Taylor and a member of the Eminence United Pentecostal Church. She is survived by four daughters: Betty (Phil) Spradling and Linda Martin Wilson, both of Campbellsburg, Judy Martin and Martha Martin, both of Louisville; one son: Tom Martin, Louisville; one brother: R. C. Taylor, Augusta, GA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Martin, one son, Ralph David Smith and one granddaughter. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Eases, Pastor of the Eminence United Pentecostal Church, officiated, assisted by Elder James A. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Roxie Cardelious Posey and a member of the First Baptist Church, Eminence. She is survived by one step-daughter: Valerie (Mike) Thomas, Eminence; and one step-son: Victor Blade, Madison, AL; several grandchildren, great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. W. H. Goatley, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Eminence, officiated. Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Paul �Red� Rollins Martin, Jr., 85, of Eminence, died Thursday, May 156, 2002 at The Richwood, LaGrange. He was a native of Louisville, the son of the late Paul Rollins and Alberta Ruth Maddox Martin, Sr., a retired grocery owner, hardware owner and retired from Wehr Contractors, Inc., a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII and served as a city councilman and firefighter, a member of the Eminence Baptist Church, the Eminence Lodge #282 and the Eminence Rotary. He is survived by his wife: Mary Higgins Martin, Eminence; two daughters: Ruth Ann (Robert) Johnson, Rotonda, FL and Joyce (Skip) Berry, Eminence; one son: Paul (Rollie) R. Martin III, Boca Raton, FL; one sister: Ethel M. Pierce, Louisville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home. Rev. Ed Berry and Rev. Buddy berry officiated. Interment was in the Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville.

He is survived by his wife: Mamie Nellie McCane, Sulphur; one daughter: Kimberly McCane, Campbellsburg; one son: Ricky McCane, Goshen; one sister: Nellie Johnston, Campbellsburg and three granddaughters. He is survived by his wife: Betty Parrish McCardwell, Campbellsville; his son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth Leslie and Karen Collins McCardwell, Louisville; a daughter and son-in-law: Mary Ellen and Eric Brakke, Commerce Township, MI; a brother: Cash McCardwell, Decatur, IN; a sister: Betty Joan Clements, Louisville; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Brion Lee McCardwell and a brother, Dean McCardwell. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14 at Sholar Funeral Home. Rev.
