DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 1/8/08 Carl G. Chasteen, Age 68, of Verona, OH went home to be with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ unexpectedly on January 6, 2008 following a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis & Lillian (Stiver) Chasteen & by a sister, Alice Stubblefield. He was born February 2 1939 in Henry County, KY. He retired from GM in 1997 & he was head elder at Go Ministries. Carl loved God, his family & bluegrass gospel music. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Judy (Young) Chasteen; children & their spouses, Cathy & Bill Schuck, Brookville, OH, Carl Steven & Cheryl Chasteen, West Milton, OH, Darlene & Heath Bennett, Verona, OH; grandchildren, Justin & Jeff Chasteen, Meghan & Travis Schuck, Danielle & Seth Bennett; brother, L. David Chasteen; brothers-in-law, Joseph Young & Bob Stubblefield, and numerous other relatives & many special friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM January 10, 2008 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, O! H with Pastor Doug Townsend officiating. Interment in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville. Visitation 4-8 PM January 9, 2008 at the funeral home. If desired, the family suggests donations to the Go Ministries Building Fund.
