Danny Hardin

 

Danny Hardin, 52, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at his home.  A native of Louisville, he attended the Henry County High School and was a former employee of Quebecor.

 

He is survived by his mother: Mary Ree Milburn Mahoney, Eminence; one daughter: Nicole McGinnis (Jerry), Harrodsburg; two sisters: Debra Kidwell, Pleasureville and Paula Baugh, Harrodsburg; and one brother: Gary Hardin, Alabama.

 

No public services are planned.

Arnold Hedges

 

Arnold Hedges, 65, of Pleasureville, died Friday, June 4, 2004 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville.  He was a native of Shelby County, the son of the late Emmett Carl Hedges, former employee of Long Silo and Block, former owner of Hedges Silo Repair and the Variety Store, Pleasureville; and a member of the Shelbyville Church of the Nazarene where he had formerly served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 30 years.

 

He is survived by his wife: Betty Jones Hedges, Pleasureville; two sons: Arnold Ray Hedges and Carl Thomas Hedges, both of Pleasureville; one daughter: Beverly Ann Potter, Pleasureville; his mother: Norma Samples Hedges, Madison, IN; two brothers: James R. Hedges, Milton and Harold Hedges, Carrollton; one sister: Joyce Peach, Waddy; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral ser vices were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 7th, at Hall- Taylor Funeral Home.  Rev. Keith Hatter officiated.  Interment was in the Shady Rest Cemetery.

Gregorio E. Hernandez

 

Gregorio E. Hernandez, 81, of Hialeah, FL, died Monday, December 6, 2004.  He was a dentist of 50 years and son of the late Julia Moya and Ramon Hernandez.

 

He is survived by his wife: Mirtha Hernandez, FL; four sons: Julio Hernandez, Miami, FL,  Francisco Hernandez, Jorge Hernandez and Carlos Hernandez, all of Hialeah, FL; one daughter: Mirti Murray, Pembroke Pines, FL; one sister: Elsa Matheny, Pleasureville; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

 

Funeral services were held Friday, December 10th at 11:30 a.m. at Vista Funeral Home, FL.  Burial was in the Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Ruby May Robertson Herrell

 

Ruby May Robertson Herrell, 86, of Eminence, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.  She was born in Bethlehem and was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Maude Black Robertson.

 

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Russell J. Herrell, Eminence; one nephew: William E. Robertson (Donna), Bedford; two nieces: Hilma C. Robertson Bell (Tom) and Patricia M. Robertson Leenerts (Bill), both of Louisville.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: Hilton and Kirby Robertson.

 

Funeral services were held at noon on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. Travis Sheehan, Pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiated.  Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

James Moore, Sr.

 

James Greene Moore, Sr., 76, of Pendleton, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, in LaGrange, due to cancer.  He was a member of the Kentucky Colonels and NHRA.  He was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War and the son of the late Walter and Lora McClellan Moore.

 

He is survived by his wife: Evelyn Moore, Pendleton; one son: James E. Moore; five daughters: Cindy K. Wade, Nancy M. Griffith, Tracy J. Monroe, Nina L. Hunter and Martha F. Moore; two brothers: Forrest M. Moore and Clayton Moore; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18th, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford.  Rev. Russell McCane officiated.  Interment was in the Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Robert Moore

 

Robert �T.� Moore, 89, of Sulphur, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the Hospice Unit of Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange.  He was a farmer, a member of the Lockport Baptist Church and the son of the late Robert and Liz Moore.

 

He is survived by his daughter: Mary Lee Moore Heilman, Campbellsburg; two sons: Robert Gayle Moore and Leonard Moore, both of Sulphur; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.  He was preceded in death by his wife: Jessie Brewer Moore.

 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22nd at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Pastor Louis Edday, Jr., of Eminence, officiated.  He was assisted by J. T. Stinson, of Eminence,.  Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Betty Prewitt

 

Betty Ogden Prewitt, 69, of New Castle, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at Norton Pavilion Hosparus Unit.  She was the daughter of the late O. T. and Irene Brumback Ogden.  She was a former Miss Henry County.  A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Betty was an English teacher and an art instructor.  She was a licensed funeral director and owner of Prewitt Funeral Home.  She was a member of the Henry Christian Church.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Prewitt; one sister: Dorothy Bickers and one brother: O. T. Ogden, Jr.

 

She is survived by one daughter: JoRene Burns, New Castle; one son: Guy Prewitt and wife, Lisa, Port Royal; five grandchildren: Ashley Skye Prewitt, Tori Burns, Brianna Prewitt, Jordan Burns and Cole Prewitt and one great-granddaughter: Brittin Hampton.

 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24th, at the Henry Christian Church.  Bro. Ed Berry, Pastor of the Henry Christian Church and Rev. Michael Duncan, Pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by Bro. Buddy Berry.  Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Willie B. Ricketts

 

Willie B. Ricketts, 96, of Carrollton, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Green Valley Health and Rehab in Carrollton.  He was the son of the late Elias and Virginia O�Nan Ricketts.

 

He is survived by two daughters: Olivene Ogburn, Carrollton and Linda Graham, Weatherford, TX; and one son: Lyndon Ricketts, Turners Station.

 

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 27th at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Carl Rucker, Campbellsburg, officiated.  Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Henry Roberts

 

Henry Roberts, 81, of Eminence, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.  He was a master plumber, served in the U.S. Marines during WWII and the Korean War, was a member of Solomon Masonic Lodge #5 and the son of the late Sanford and Flora Pearl Streible Roberts.

 

He is survived by his wife: Geraldine Pulliam Roberts, Eminence; two sons: Tim Roberts, Frankfort and Terry Lee Roberts, Louisville; one daughter: Darlene Whitaker, Shelbyville; four brothers: Sanford H. Roberts, Eminence, Bob Roberts, Las Vegas, NV, Warren Jay Roberts, Lexington and Joe Cecil Roberts, Cropper; two sisters: Mary Joyce Roberts, Louisville and Martha jean West, Jekyll Island, GA; and four grandsons.

 

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 21st, at 1:00 p.m. at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville.  Rev. Randall Burgin officiated.  Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Norman Roberts

 

Norman Lee �Bo� Roberts, 66, of Franklinton, died Monday, February 27, 2006, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.  He was the son of the late Huey Lee and Zeffie James Roberts, a farmer, a member and elder of the Drennon Christian Church and a board member of the Western District Tobacco Warehousing Corp. and the Franklinton Cemetery.

 

He is survived by his wife: Judy Hardin Roberts, Franklinton; one daughter: Mrs. Tony (Carla) Whaley, New Castle; two sons: Todd Roberts, Burlington and Shane Roberts, Franklinton; three sisters: Joyce Roberts, Shelbyville, Mrs. Gylnn (Rosalyn) Kelley, North Fort Myers, FL and Mrs. Donald (Vicki) League, LaGrange and six grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2nd at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Nick Coleman, of Sulphur, officiated, assisted by Shawn Golden, Pastor of the Drennon Christian Church.  Interment was in the Franklinton Cemetery.

Margaret Robinson

 

Margaret bell Robinson, 64, of Pendleton, died Sunday, February 19, 2006 in Shelby County.  She was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Jackson Hoskins and a certified nursing assistant at Friendship Manor.

 

She is survived by three daughters: Karen Mattingly, Oldham County, Sheila Robinson, Shelby County and Charity Jackson, Trimble County; three sons: Donald Jackson, Richard Jackson and Donald Lee Jackson, Jr., all of Trimble County; one brother: Julian Hoskins, Henry County; one sister Ida Hall, Florida; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21st at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford.  Rev. Bill Brumley officiated.  Interment was in the Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Elbert Rose

 

Elbert Rose, 86, of Campbellsburg, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange.  He was the son of the late James and Laura Ann Perry Rose and was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.

 

He is survived by six children: Floyd White, Louisville, Lizzie Ford, Campbellsburg, Frank Rose, Vine Grove, Wanda Hill, Franklin, GA, Linville Rose, Brea, and Audie Rose, Georgetown; four brothers and sisters: Lester Rose, Louisville, Burchnell Rose and Clessie Coyle, both of McKee, and Mary Lily Rose, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife: Lynda Hymer Rose and two sons: James and Wendell Rose.

 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 20th at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg.  Rev. Doug Boyd officiated.  Interment was in the Campbellsburg Masonic Cemetery.

Roy Ruble

 

Roy A. Ruble, 81, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, February 28, 2009, at his residence.  He was the son of the late John Gilbert and Goldie Crask Ruble, a farmer, a former assistant manager of the Southern States Cooperative in Eminence, a member of the Christiansburg Baptist Church, a former Sunday School Superintendent, a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and past president of the Cropper Ruritan Club and the Henry County Rod and Gun Club.

 

He is survived by his wife: Waldine J. Ruble, Christiansburg; one son: Jerry Allen Ruble and wife, Connie, Christiansburg; one daughter: Kristian Ruble and companion, Keith Stratton, Shelbyville; two brothers: Maurice Ruble, Shelbyville and Carl Ruble, Eminence; two sisters: Wilma Greer, Flatwoods and Sharon Ruble, Lexington; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert Ruble, Jr.

 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4th at Christiansburg Baptist Church.  Rev. Jim Cavender officiated.  Interment was in the Christiansburg Baptist Church C emetery.
