Sherman Downey, 54, Turners Station, was killed last Friday afternoon when his car left the roadway and hit a bridge on Highway 55, about two miles north of Campbellsburg. Mrs. Downey, wife of the victim, was killed under similar circumstances less than a year ago.
Downey�s survivors include five sisters: Mrs. Fronnil Garner, Mrs. Cordie Henderson and Mrs. Katie Henson, all of Louisville, Mrs. Sarah Arbuckle, Jeffersonville and Mrs. Lottie Moore, Pleasureville; two brothers: Marvin Downey, Louisville and Frank Downey, LaGrange and a half-brother: N. D. Shadrick, Bethlehem.

Mrs. Lottye C. Dunavent, Eminence, died Wednesday, July 10, 1985 at the King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville. She was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the Eminence Christian Church.
She is survived by one step-daughter-in-law: Mrs. Helen Dunavent, Eminence; and two nieces: Mrs. J. D. (Kitty) Oliver, Jackson, Mississippi and Mrs. Earl (Betty) Etzel, Shreveport, Louisiana.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 12th from Prewitt�s, New Castle. Rev. John Brand, pastor of the Eminence Christian Church, officiated. Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie Young Dunaway, 86, Port Royal, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 1958, at the New Castle sanitarium. She was the widow of Owen Dunaway. A native of Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late J. W. and Sarah Hayden Young. Mrs. Dunaway suffered a broken hip three months ago, and had been bed fast since. A stroke preceded her death.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Bessie Powell, Port Royal and Mrs. Lyndon Chilton, Turners Station; one sister: Mrs. R. C. Ellis, Port Royal; two brother; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Port Royal Methodist Church where Mrs. Dunaway was a member. Rev. Howard Olive officiated. Interment was in the Port Royal Cemetery, with McCarty Funeral Home in charge.

Luther Eddy, 68, Sulphur, died Saturday afternoon at Mallory-Taylor Hospital, LaGrange, after an illness of two weeks. He was a native of Henry County and the son of the late Sam and Rachel Clark Eddy.
He is survived by one son: Henry Eddy, Sulphur; one sister: Mrs. Mary Ann Peyton, Crestwood and one brother: Charlie Eddy, Sulphur.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Sulphur Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Hall officiated. Interment was in the Campbellsburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Pearl Ethington, Campbellsburg, widow of Auburn Ethington, died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday at Kentucky Baptist Hospital, Louisville, after suffering a heart attack. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Kate Morris Scott. She was a member of the Campbellsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Hallie Mae Scott, Carrollton, Mrs. Anna Ort, Louisville and Mrs. Lucille Burbank, Indianapolis; two brothers: Charles M. Scott, Carrollton and W. R. Scott, Louisville.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at her residence in Campbellsburg. Rev. John Redden officiated, assisted by Rev. Charles Pinkston. Burial was in the Campbellsburg Cemetery with McCarty Funeral Directors in charge.

Mrs. Mattie Evans, 68, Pleasureville, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at her home after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Evans; one son: Henry Buetel and two grandchildren of Akron, Ohio; two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Funeral Home in Pleasureville. Rev. Joe W. Aspley, pastor of the Pleasureville Christian Church, officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Tom Fields, 82, colored, New Castle, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home near New Castle after an illness of over a year. He was a native of Henry County, a son of the late Ed and Amelia Droggen Fields of Port Royal. He was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church, New Castle.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Imogene Bailey Fields; one sister: Mrs. Sarah Fields, New Castle; two half-sisters: Mrs. Susan Moore and Mrs. Catherine Smith, both of Shelbyville and one half-brother: Will Fields, New Castle.
Funersl services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shannon-Prewitt Funeral Home, New Castle. Rev. W. W. Tircuit officiated. Burial will be in the New Castle Colored Cemetery.

Andrew Murry Floyd, 71, Eminence, retired automotive equipment salesman, died Sunday morning at King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville. He was a member and elder of the Eminence Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Grace Wilson Floyd; two sons: William M. Floyd, Louisville and D. Kent Floyd, Eminence; four grandchildren and one brother: Walter Floyd, Louisville.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ricketts Funeral Home. Rev. W. C. Sutton officiated. Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Willie Gardner, 68, Franklinton, carpenter, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 1958, at the King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville. He was a member of the Franklinton Baptist Church. A native of Henry County, he was the son of the late John and Florence Crawford Gardner.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Rosa Brown Gardner; a daughter: Mrs. Joe Clark, Crestwood; one son: Forest J. Gardner, Pleasureville; one sister: Mrs. Willie D. James, Bethlehem; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday at the Franklinton Baptist Church. Rev. Kenneth Cole, pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. Hal Marchman, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church. Interment was in the Franklinton Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Adcock Gividen, 75, Sulphur, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mallory-Taylor Hospital, LaGrange. She had been in ill health for some time. Mrs. Gividen was a native of Henry County, and a daughter of the late Samuel R. and Jenny Coblin Adcock.
She is survived by one son, Mason Gividen, Sulphur; a foster daughter: Mrs. Joe Boyd, Sulphur; three half-brothers: Richard Adcock, Turners Station, Bishop Adcock, New Castle and George Adcock, Lexington; two half-sisters: Mrs. Jean Honaker, Lexington and Mrs. J. H. Douglas, New Castle; her step-mother: Mrs. Margaret Adcock, New Castle; and one nephew, Thomas Richard Adcock, Louisville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, at the Sulphur Methodist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Charles T. Pinkston, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Sulphur Cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Jane Green, 72, Eminence, died Monday morning at Tingle Nursing Home, Eminence.
She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Bertha Lee Crafton, Miami, Florida, Mrs. Joan Beatrice Rusch, Louisville and Mrs. Gladys McDonald, Eminence; one sister: Mrs. Gertie Delaney, Vevay, Indiana; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Gladys McDonald, Eminence. Rev. Hal Marchman, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Mary Frances Kemper Gotos, 77, of Nashville, Indiana, died Thursday, February 9, 1984. She was formerly of New Castle, and was the daughter of the late John Kemper.
She is survived by her husband: Leuis Gotos, Nashville, Indiana; one son: Thomas Ash, Nashville, Tennessee; two daughters: Virginia Monroe, Atlanta, Georgia and Mary E. Dewers, Nashville, Tennessee; three brothers: Allen Kemper, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, James Kemper, Gilford, Indiana and Ralph Emerson Kemper, Aurora, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 13th at 1 p.m. at the Bond Mitchell Funeral Home, Indiana. Interment was in the Greendale Cemetery.
Miss Bess V. Hardesty, 76, Louisville, died November 17, 1958, at Cherokee Rest Home in Louisville. She was a native of Henry County and had been a sales lady at Kaufman�s in Louisville for a number of years. She was a daughter of the late Mose and Margaret Flanery Hardesty.
Survivors include a sister: Mrs. Sue Curran, Buechel; a brother: Mr. Charles Hardesty, Campbellsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, Louisville by W. A. McCarty Funeral Directors. Burial was in the Campbellsburg Cemetery, with Rev. Charles Pinkston, pastor of the Campbellsburg Baptist Church where Miss Hardesty was a member, officiating.

Mrs. Susie Hardesty, 94, Eminence, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday at her home after a lingering illness. She was a daughter of the late Billy and Sarah Hall Bryant.
She is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Harry Shaw, New Castle; and two grandchildren of Leesburg, Florida.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Eminence Methodist Church. Rev. Allen E. Smith officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery with McCarty Funeral Directors in charge.

Edward Delano Hardin, age 67 of Crestwood, died Friday, November 24, 2006, at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. He was a native of Henry County and the son of the late Samuel E. and Lucille Harp Hardin.
He is survived by his special friend, Carol Ahlman; one daughter: Cynthia Hardin, Louisville; one son: Mark Hardin, Florida; one sister: Sue Hardin Higginbotham, St. Louis and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Interment was in the Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

Mrs. Ella Purvis Hardin, 74, Lockport, wife of Tom Hardin, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wendell Roberts, near Bethlehem. She had been in ill health for some time. A native of Owen County, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Mary Purvis.
Besides her husband and Mrs. Roberts, she is survived by two other daughters: Mrs. R. C. Shaw, Louisville and Mrs. R. C. Kelley, Perry Park; a son: T. J. Hardin, Bethlehem; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Hayes Williamson, Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Fred Heck, Louisville; two brothers: Sherman Purvis, Columbus and Everett Purvis, Cincinnati.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. B. C. McMurray, pastor of the Lockport Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. C. W. Sheffield, pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Patricia Batts Harp, 24, Louisville, formerly of Port Royal, was killed in an automobile accident in Louisville. Mrs. Harp and her husband and two children were thrown from their car when it was struck by an ambulance bringing a patient to a Louisville hospital.
Besides her husband and two children who were in the accident with Mrs. Harp, she is survived by a daughter: Peggy Jean Davis; her parents: Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Batts, Turners Station; two brothers: Edward Lee Batts and William Allen Batts, Turners Station.
Funeral services were conducted by W. A. McCarty Funeral Director at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Port Royal Baptist Church. Rev. Howard Olive officiated. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery.

Mrs. May Murray Hartford, 81, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of her son, Kenneth Hartford, and Mrs. Hartford in Fern Creek. Mrs. Hartford was a former resident of Pleasureville and for many years was a teacher in the Henry County Schools.
Besides her son, she is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Jesse Casey, Bethlehem, Mrs. Louis Davis, Eminence and Mrs. L. C. Wallace, Pleasureville; one nephew: Loise Noe, Eminence; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at McAfee Funeral Home in Buechel and at 9 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church. Interment was in the Resthaven Memorial Park.

Levy Hayden, 68, Turners Station, retired business man, died at 1:20 a.m. Sunday at King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville, after an illness of several days. A son of the late George and Adelia Campbell Hayden, he was a member of the Campbellsburg Masonic Lodge #249.
He is survived by one brother, Clarence C. Hayden, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCarty Funeral Home, Campbellsburg. Rev. Wayne Barrett, pastor of the Turners Station Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Campbellsburg Cemetery.

Leonard Heilman, 79, retired farmer, LaGrange, died Saturday morning at the Mallory-Taylor Hospital, LaGrange after a long illness. He was a native of Owen County. He was a member of the DeHaven Memorial Baptist Church, LaGrange.
Survivors include three sons: Albert N. and Marion Heilman, LaGrange and Carl Heilman, Cropper; three sisters: Mrs. P. C. Long, New Castle, Mrs. Minnie Marshall, Shelbyville and Mrs. Josephine Wells, Cropper; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Linden James, 84, New Castle, retired farmer, died Wednesday night at King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville. Ill of a heart condition, he had been a patient there for two weeks. He was a son of the late William Lewis and Sarah O�Nan James.
He was a former member of the Henry County Board of Education and a past master of Simpson Masonic Lodge #189, New Castle and a member of the New Castle Methodist Church.
He left 83 descendants. Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. James Singleton, New Castle, Mrs. G. C. Rankin, Simpsonville and Mrs. Avery Jones, Vevay, Indiana; seven sons: Charlie, Chester and Russell, Campbellsburg, Lewis and Morris James, New Castle, Howard James, Crestwood, and Urban James, Eminence; two sisters: Mrs. Clyde Martinie, Bethlehem and Mrs. Otis Wallace, Frankfort; twenty-eight grandchildren and forty-five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Shannon-Prewitt Funeral Home, New Castle. Rev. F. B. Scott, pastor of the New Castle Methodist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Harold Gardner, Berea, and Rev. Charles T. Pinkston, Campbellsburg. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

David H. Jett, 79, retired pilot on the Kentucky and Ohio Rivers, died unexpectedly at 11:30 a.m. last Wednesday at his home in Carrollton.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter: Mrs. C. A. Duvall, Smithfield; two grandsons: Dr. C. Allen Duvall, Bardstown and David J. Duvall, Smithfield; one sister: Mrs. Daisy Rankin, Mississippi; two half-sisters: Mrs. Ernest Lewellyn and Mrs. Luther B. Fothergill, both of Carrollton.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday by Rev. Roger I. Amason, assisted by Rev. Ralph Louery, at Tandy and Eckler Funeral Home, Carrollton. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Carrollton.

Hugh L. Jewell, 74, of Route 1, Pleasureville, died Friday, February 13, 1987, at thew Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle. He was a native of Spencer County, a retired school teacher at Spencer County and LaGrange Reformatory, and a Deacon of the Elmburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Bea Jewell, Pleasureville; one sister: Mrs. Hazel Wilson, Jeffersonville, Indiana; and one brother: Keith Jewell, Taylorsville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 16 at the Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Rev. Judd Pipps officiated. Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Mrs. Elanor Quickert Jones, 62, wife of Frank P. Jones, Franklinton, died at 10:15 p.m. at King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville. She was a daughter of the late J. B. and Rosie Wingardner Quickert.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Helen Hardin, Turners Station, Mrs. Elnora Sharp, Gratz and Miss Mildred Jones, Franklinton; two sons: Robert Jones, Sulphur and Melvin Jones, Army Air Force Base, Chenault Field, Illinois; one sister: Mrs. Marguerite Troutman, Eminence; two brothers: J. W. Quickert and Joe Quickert, both of Gratz and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tursday at Drennon Chapel Christian Church, where she was a member. Rev. Wayne Neiderhuth, pastor, officiated. Interment was in the Drennon Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Hattie Lee Cravens Jones, 69, of Toledo, Ohio, a native of Henry County, died Thursday, December 11, 1958, at the Maumee Valley Hospital, Toledo, from a cerebral hemorrhage. She was a retired nurse, a member of the Pleasureville Baptist Church and a daughter of the late James and Allie Jane Roberts Cravens. She was the widow of John Turner Jones.
Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Juanita Hampton, Mrs. Jessica Burton and Mrs. Sylvia Taylor, all of Toledo and Mrs. Helen Troxell, Vevay, Indiana; five sons: James and John Paul Jones, Toledo, Chester Jones, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Wilbur Jones, Patriot, Indiana and Kenneth Jones, Campbellsburg; twenty-one grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers: Earl Cravens and Raymond Cravens, New Castle; three sisters: Mrs. Ruth Henderson and Mrs. Fannie Mahoney, Louisville and Mrs. DeEtta Caldwell, Cleveland, Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at McCarty Funeral Home, New Castle. Rev. Joe Whitt, pastor of the New Castle Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Franklinton Cemetery.

Henry County Local February 27, 1958
A domestic argument ended in a double shooting Tuesday morning, May 16, 1995, in the city limits of Bethlehem, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Larry Wayne Klatofen, 36, of Louisville, shot his estranged wife, 30-year-old Karen Kaltofen, in the chest approximately three times at a home in Bethlehem, then turned the gun on himself.
Larry Wayne Kaltofen was pronounced dead at the scene by Henry County Coroner Jimmy Pollard. Karen Kaltofen was treated by Pleasureville EMS, then flown to Humana Hospital University in Louisville by STAT Flight in critical condition. Her condition had been upgraded to serious by press time.

Henry County lost one of its most prominent citizens, Dr. J. L. Karnes, 72, who died at his home on Monday, August 27, 1984. Dr. Karnes was a native of Marshall County, but had lived and practiced veterinary medicine in Henry County for 42 years. He was married to Dorothy Warner Karnes, a native of Madison County. Dr. Karnes was a member of the Hazard Christian Church.
He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture in 1934 and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1941.
Dr. Karnes is survived by his wife: Mrs. Dorothy Warner Karnes, New Castle; two daughters: Mrs. Clifford W. (Evelyn Rose) Ishmael, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Julia A. Karnes, Lexington; one son: Jacob L. Karnes, Jr. Lexington; two sisters: Miss Alice E. Karnes and Miss Ruby N. Karnes, Paducah; two brothers: Mr. Albert Karnes, Paducah and Mr. Gilbert H. Karnes, Lebanon and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 29th from Prewitt�s Funeral Home, New Castle. Rev. Mikeal Parsons, pastor of the First Baptist Church, New Castle, officiated, assisted by Dr. Clayton Klingenfus, pastor of the New Castle Christian Church. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery with a private burial. The body was cremated.

Glenda Joyce Kelley Kays, age 59, of New Castle, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville Inpatient Unit, Louisville. She was the daughter of the late Judy Estill and Lula Payton Kelley.
She is survived by her husband, Larry B. Kays, Sr., New Castle; two sons: Larry B. �Junebug� Kays, Jr., New Castle and Gary Kays, Turners Station; three brothers: James Kelley, Campbellsburg, Roger Kelley, New Castle and Wayne Sutherland, Turners Station and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, May 4) at 1 p.m. at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the New Castle Cemetery.

Landry Kays, Jr., age 46, died June 27, 1975, at his Louisville home. He was formerly a resident of New Castle.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Mary Kays; a daughter: Mrs. Landa Tucker, Louisville, a son: Phillip Kays, Jefferson, Indiana; his mother: Mrs. Adelaide Kays, New Castle; a sister: Mrs. Willard Bryant, Louisville and two brothers: Davis and Bernard Kays, Louisville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 29th, from Prewitt Funeral Home, New Castle. Burial was in the New Castle Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. Norman Letsinger, pastor of the New Castle Baptist Church.

Mack Ray Keaton, age 57, of Campbellsburg, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, at his residence. He was a native of Estill County, the son of the late Earnest Clyde and Anna Utley Keaton, a Vietnam Army Veteran, an employee of CSX Railroad and a member of the Martin Branch Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Deborah Wright Keaton, Campbellsburg; three sons: Stacey Keaton, Louisville, Mack Keaton, Jr. Vanceburg and Jason Keaton, Radcliff; two step-sons: Robert Keaton, Louisville and Michael Ray Wright, Campbellsburg; three brothers: Emmett Keaton, Arizona, Earnest Keaton, Plymouth, Indiana and Randy Keaton, North Palm Beach, Florida; four sisters: Elsie Lynch, Clara, Michigan, Marbara McKnight, Alma, Michigan, Dessa Reeves, Bradenton, Florida and Kathy Smith, Leburn; seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Keaton; one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, October 11th) at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Bill Brumley will officiate. Burial will be in Mary�s Memorial Gardens, Drennon.

Andrew J. Keenan, 79, of Pleasureville, died at the King�s Daughters Hospital in Frankfort on Saturday, December 23, 1939.
He is survived by four sons: Vernon Keenan, New York, Owen Keenan, Cincinnati, Lester Keenan, Lawrenceburg and Dallas Keenan, Pleasureville; two daughters: Mrs. E. M. Vanderpool, Lexington and Mrs. Earl Cox, Carrollton; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Pleasureville Christian Church at 10 o�clock Tuesday morning with Rev. R. S. Tandy officiating. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

W. Edwin Keller, Jr., 71, of Pompano Beach, Florida, died Friday, June 29, 1984 in Florida. He was formerly of Eminence, where he was a member of the Eminence Christian Church. He moved to Florida 2o years ago.
He is survived by his wife: Laura Keller, Pompano Beach, Florida; one son: Eddie Keller, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one daughter: Sally Currier, El Cajon, California; one sister: Mrs. Walter Moore, Louisville; two nieces: Barbara Runquist, Louisville and Ellen Shiba, Danville and two great-nieces.

Mr. Amster Kelley, 92, of New Castle, died Wednesday, August 14, 1985, at the King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville. He was a native of Gestville, a retired farmer, a retired guard at the Kentucky State Reformatory, LaGrange, where he worked for ten years and a member of the Lockport Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Martha Loraine Long Kelley, New Castle; three daughters: Mrs. Nellie Kelley Thomas, Pleasureville, Mrs. Mary Ruth Stivers and Mrs. Josephine Kelley Floyd, both of Shelbyville; one stepdaughter: Mrs. Leroy (Wanda Carolyn) Banta, Pleasureville; one son: Truman Kelley, New Castle; one sister: Mrs. Mary S. Lawrence, Eminence; one brother: Claude Kelley, Pleasureville; one step-granddaughter; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday August 16th from Prewitt�s, New Castle. Dr. Clayton Klingenfus, pastor of the New Castle Christian Church, officiated. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Bobie Allen Kelley, 40, of U.S. Highway 42 in Bedford, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, June 6, 1983, while operating a tank truck on I-64 near Belleville, Illinois. He was a native of Henry County, a former resident of Crestwood and a member of the Eminence Christian Church. His father was the late Prentice William Kelley.
He is survived by his wife: Alice Sue Campbell Kelley, Bedford; two daughters: Cami Reed Kelley and LaShana Kelley, Bedford; one son: Patrick Kelley, Bedford; his mother: Blanche Holmes Kelley, Eminence; one sister: Mrs. Mary Lou Spears, Bethlehem; two brothers: Ray Kelley, Milton and G. W. Kelley, Stafford, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10th at 2:30 p.m. at the Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange. Rev. John Zekausky will officiate. Interment will be in the Valley of Rest Cemetery, LaGrange.
Estell Kelley, 35, of New Castle, died Friday, June 22, 1984, at the Humana Hospital University, Louisville, after an illness. He was a member of the Campbellsburg Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother: Mrs. Lula Leslie Payton Sutherland, New Castle; one sister: Mrs. Larry (Glenda) Kays, Route 1, Campbellsburg; three brothers: James Kelley, Campbellsburg, Roger Kelley and Wayne Sutherland, both of New Castle; his grandmother: Mrs. Altha Clark, Eminence and step-grandmother: Mrs. Lillian Scott, Carrollton.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., December 28th, at Ricketts Funeral Home, Eminence, with Rev. Chester Aldridge, pastor of the Eminence Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial was in the Eminence Cemetery.
