David Lee "Dago" Evans, age 55, of New Castle died Friday, December 5, 2014, at Providence New Castle. He was the son of the late Richard and Rena Mahoney Evans. He is survived by one daughter, Nikki Lee Roberts, Eminence. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Evans, age 74, of Eminence, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014, at his residence. He was the son of the late Earl Edward and Phyllis Mary (Weisbrod) Evans. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Theology at the Apostolic Bible Institute and served as an Apostolic Pastor for over fifty years, serving several churches in Montana, Maine, Texas and NB, Canada. Larry was a member of the Azuza Street Riders Motorcycle Ministry and a member of the Eminence United Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Naida M. Evans, and a son, Randall Larry Evans. He is survived by his wife, Marion (Sullivan) Evans of Eminence; three sons, Scott Dwayne Evans (Kathy) of Maine, Eugene Grace of Oak Ridge, TN and Nathan Grace (Holly) of Fredericton, NB Canada; two daughters, Tonette Laree Klingele of Austin, TX and Sherri Eades (Robert) of Eminence; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Henry County Local � December 3, 2014 __________ Ellen Truman Rynes, age 68, of Eminence, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Louise Baugh Truman. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Rynes, Eminence; two sons, Tony Grigsby, Eminence and Stephen Grigsby, Bagdad; one daughter: Laurie Clark, New Castle. __________ Virginia Peniston Costel, 90, of Louisville, passed away on February, 6, 2014, at Treyton Oaks Tower. She was the daughter of Elizabeth and Tandy Peniston and was born on May 11, 1923 in Lacie, Kentucky. While attending Georgetown College, she left her studies to marry Bill Costel. After the birth of her two children, she completed her BA at the University of Louisville and received an MA in education from Indiana University. She also completed graduate studies in education at the University of Virginia. An excellent and beloved teacher, Ginny taught fourth grade at Greathouse and Cardinal Valley elementary schools. By her example, Ginny taught her children the importance of close and long-lasting friendships. For Ginny and Bill, many of these friendships revolved around playing bridge and enjoying a meal together. Ginny excelled in both playing bridge and preparing delicious meals. After her retirement Ginny continued her energetic engagement with her community. Ginny stayed active by delivering Meals on Wheels, participating in her PEO chapter and as a member of the Louisville Women's Club and the D.A.R. Much of her time she spent on behalf of Highland Presbyterian Church, as she visited shut-ins, organized Prime Timer's and planned bridge and book club events. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, who adored her, and brothers, L.T. and Bill Peniston. She is survived by her children, Esther E. Costel, M.D. (Philip J. Tamplin, Jr.) and Paul T. Costel (Michelle), six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother and a tender and generous grandmother. The family would like to thank the staff of Treyton Oak Towers for their many kindnesses to our mother. Special thanks to her caregivers, Anna Atzinger and Tammy Shannon, who provided loving care for her in her final years. She was a resident of Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle for fourteen years. She was an affectionate person who loved giving kisses to her friends. Sadie enjoyed coloring and was fond of birds. In addition to her friends and family at Homestead, Sadie is survived by two children, two brothers & two sisters.
