July 14, 1997

Eileen Berry , 58, of English, was found dead at 6:15 P.M. Friday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal Church, Carrollton. Her husband, Parker Berry, was also found dead Friday.

Survivors include a brother, Dalton Garriett of Carrollton; and a sister, Velma Heusel of LaGrange.

Services will be at 1 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. today at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Burial will be in Port Royal Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church, 2505 Highland Ave., Carrollton 41008.

July 14, 1997

Parker Berry , 61, of English, was found dead at 6:15 P.M. Friday at his home. He was a carpenter and a member of United Pentecostal Church, Carrollton. His wife, Eileen Berry, was also found dead Friday.

Survivors include brothers, Sherman Berry of Turners Station, Gordon Berry of Louisville and Bobby Berry of Gas City, Ind.; sisters, Beulah Marsh of Carrollton, Georgia L. Townsend of Hartford City, Ind., Ann Berrier of Louisville and Linda Bates of Worthville; a half-brother, Gilbert Berry of Turners Station; and a half-sister, Neppie Berry Baxter of Louisville.

Services will be at 1 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. today at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Burial will be in Port Royal Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church, 2505 Highland Ave., Carrollton 41008.

 

September 10, 1997

Peggy Ann Eversole , 49, of Port Royal, died at 1 A.M. Monday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a retired laborer with Grote Manufacturing.

Survivors include a son, Adam J. Coghill of Carrollton; daughters, Julie Ann Coghill of Evans, Ga., and Mary Ellen Eversole of Carrollton; her father, Wilmer Henry of Ohio; sisters, Betty Wilson of Worthville, Patricia Dial of Milton and Jane Gullion of Warsaw; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday at New Liberty Cemetery. Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton, is handling arrangements.

 

December 31, 1997

Amanda L. Smith , 87, of Turners Station, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Dean Memorial United Methodist Church, Worthville. Her husband, Jesse D. Smith, preceded her in death as did her sons, Donald Wayne Smith, Orvan Smith and Howard Smith.

Survivors include daughters, Loetta Helm of Milton, Grace Banks and Janie Smith, both of Milton; sons, Wilbert Lee Smith of Bedford, Elmer Smith of Carrollton, and Roger Smith and Edward Smith, both of Turners Station; a sister, Roberta Hawkins of Carrollton; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 P.M. Friday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in English Cemetery, Carroll County.

 

February 10, 1998

Russell Lee Riley, 51, of Turner Station, died Sunday at his home. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Walker Riley; a son, Jimmy Lee Riley of Turner Station; brothers, Jerry Riley, Ralph Riley and Ray Riley, all of Carrollton, and Donnie Riley of Drennon Springs; and sisters, Karen Martin and Helen Willett, both of Carrollton, and Betty Rush of Ohio.

Services will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street location, Owenton. Visitation will begin there at 10 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will be in Ghent Cemetery.

 

February 10, 1998

Francis Stewart, 78, of Turners Station, died Monday at his home. He was a farmer and a World War II veteran.

Survivors include sons, Randy Stewart and Gene Stewart, both of Turners Station; daughters, Hazel Willhoite of Carrollton and Mary Evans of Montgomery, Ala.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. today and from 10 A.M. Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Worthville Cemetery.

 

March 24, 1998

Margaret Stamper, 84, of Campbellsburg, died Sunday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was a homemaker and a member of Cove Hill Baptist Church, Carrollton.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Stamper; sons, Robert Stamper and Danny Stamper, both of Campbellsburg; and sisters, Pattie Thompson of Burlington and Melba Wallace of Lexington.

Services will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will begin there at 11 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will be at the family farm.

 

November 13, 1998

Brenda Carol Smith Johnson , 45, of Turners Station, died Wednesday at her parents' home in Carroll County of complications of cancer. She was a former inspector with Varity Dayton-Walther Corp., Carrollton, and a member of English Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Johnson; a daughter, Candida Henry of Carrollton; sons, Shawn Henry of Prescott, Ariz., and Nathan Henry of Carrollton; her parents, Edward and Agnes Hunter Smith of Turners Station; a sister, Linda Marie Smith of Carrollton; and a brother, Gayle Lloyd Smith of Turners Station.

Services will be at 2 P.M. Saturday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in English Cemetery.
