Henry County Local--October 13, 1983

Dr. Samuel Adams, 61 of London, Kentucky, died Sunday, September 25^th at his home.

He was a member of the staff of Marymount Hospital and was an immediate past president of the hospital staff; a member of the London First Baptist Church; Lions Club; and McKee Lodge 144 F. & A.M.; and also a director of First National Bank in London.

Dr. Adams was a member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners, the Laurel County Medical Society and the Kentucky and American Medical Associations.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Houchens Adams; two sons, Dr. Mark S, Adams, Lexington and Samuel Adams, Jr., Pleasureville; two daughters, Sue Ellen Francho, Lexington and Monica Storm, London; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church with Senator Gene Huff and Rev. Bill Jones, officiating.

Interment was in the London Cemetery.
