Nicholas Ratcliff, 84, father of Mrs. Lelia Brown, LaGrange, died Monday at midnight at his home near New Castle of pneumonia. Mr. Ratcliff is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Flood Ratcliff; two sons: Horace Ratcliff, who lived at the homestead with his parents and Martin Ratcliff, New Orleans; one daughter: Mrs. Lelia Brown, LaGrange; three granddaughters: Miss Ellen Brown of the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Misses Bess and Grace Brown; four grandsons: William J. Brown, Miami, FL, Harry Brown, Eustis, FL, David O. Brown, Ohio Wesleyan College, Delaware, OH and Horace, LaGrange; one great-grandchild; one sister: Mrs. Millie Timmons, Oklahoma City, OK, an invalid of some years.
Before his marriage Mr. Ratcliff taught school for a time, but since he married he has been a farmer. In early childhood he joined the Christian Church at Westport, and has been known for his kindly spirit and neighborly courtesies.
A short service, conducted by Rev. George W. Boswell, Pastor of the New Castle Methodist Church, was held at the home for those who could not come to LaGrange with the body, among them being Mrs. Ratcliff, the widow, who is ill. When the train reached LaGrange it was met by friends who came immediately to the Valley of Rest Cemetery, where a service was held in charge of Rev. J. W. Crates, pastor of the LaGrange Methodist Church.

Sam Ratcliff, 60, died at his home near New Castle at 2 p.m. Tuesday after an extended illness. He was a Veteran of WWI, having served fourteen months over seas.
He is survived by his wife; one son: Gene Taylor Ratcliff; two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Funeral Home in New Castle with Rev. Minor Bottom officiating. Burial was in Versailles, KY.

Melissa Earlene Ratliff, 26, the former Melissa Farley of Eminence, died Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville.
She is survived by her husband: Tom Ratliff; daughters: Edith Rhiannon Ratliff and Constance Aradia Farley; her parents: Connie and Rocky Toler; one sister: Jessica Perrigan; and two brothers: Ronald Godsey and Westley Toler.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 5th at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Interment was in the Floydsburg Cemetery.

Gary Lee Ray, 37 of Carrollton, died Monday, October 23, 2006, at the Carroll County Regional Medical Center. He was a deputy jailer at the Carroll County Detention Center and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Carrollton.
He is survived by his parents: James and Sandra Moe Ray, Carrollton; three stepchildren: Dustin Doyle, Devin Combs and Amanda Combs, all of Henry County; two brothers: Daryl Ray and Jimmy Ray; one sister: Darla Ray, Carrollton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellis and Pauline Ray and three uncles.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 27th at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Rev. S. Matthew Young officiated. Interment was in the Ghenty Masonic Cemetery.

An eight year old Henry County girl was killed and three others injured in a two-car accident Saturday at 11:55 a.m., three miles south of Smithfield at the intersection of Kentucky 22 and Kentucky 322.
Marie Anne Ray, of Route 2, Eminence, was pronounced dead at the scene of massive injuries by Henry County Coroner William G. Prewitt, Jr. She was a passenger in a car driven by her mother, Jean Ray, 34, who sustained a back injury. There were two other passengers in the car; Benjamin Ray, eighteen months, who sustained lacerations from flying glass, and Sarah Ray, four years old, who received no injuries. Mrs. Edith Craigmyle, the wife of the driver of the car, George W. Craigmyle, 81, of Westport, sustained a broken foot and a broken collarbone.
Marie was a member of St. John�s Catholic Church in Eminence and a third grade student at New Castle Grade School.
She is survived by her parents: Mr. and Mrs. J. Michael Ray, Eminence; one sister: Sarah Elaine Ray, Eminence; one brother: Benjamin Michael Ray, Eminence; grandparents: Mrs. Elizabeth Tanner, Pleasure Ridge Park and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Ray, Pleasure Ridge Park and great-grandfather: Lester Henshaw, Morganfield, KY.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6th at the St. John�s Catholic Church, Eminence. Father John Lesousky, pastor of St. John�s Catholic Church, Eminence, officiated, assisted by Father Robert E. Ray, St. Menrad, IN. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery. Prewitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Jane Quire Ray, 80, of 99 Swigert Ave, Frankfort, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rogers Funeral Home. She died at 11:45 a.m. Monday at her residence after a short illness. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A Henry County native, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons: James Rucker, Labern Rucker and Jack Bradley all of Frankfort, and Elijah Rucker, Anderson, IN; two daughters: Mrs. Alice B. Choate, Frankfort and Mrs. Margaret Ann Gammon, Campbellsville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Dennis and Martha Shadrick Quire and the widow of Joe Ray.

Clyde M. Rayburn, 84, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. He was the owner/operator of Clyde�s Cleaners in Eminence, a retired buyer for Hall and Davis Lumber Company, a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the Shelbyville First Christian Church and the son of the late Clyde W. Rayburn and Clara Hendrix Rayburn.
He is survived by his wife: Wanda Jones Rayburn, Shelbyville; one son: Mack Rayburn, Frankfort and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9th at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Dr. Howard Griffith, Shelbyville First Christian Church, officiated. Interment was in Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Teresa Ann Redmon, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Redmon of New Castle, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday (December 7, 1958) at Children�s Hospital, Louisville. She was born Tuesday, December 2, 1958 at Mallory-Taylor Hospital, LaGrange.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother: Darryl Redmon and her grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Napier.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Hmes, Louisville. Interment was in the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.

Mrs. Eula Reeves, 89, (1893-1983) of Pleasureville, died Monday, May 30, 1983, at the King�s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville.
She is survived by two granddaughters: Mrs. Hillary Schnorrnbush, St. Petersburg, FL and Mrs. Courtney Winstead, Gulf Breezes, Fl and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1st at the Pleasureville United Methodist Church. Rev. Donald Hatton officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery. Thomas Funeral Home, Pleasureville, handled the arrangements.

Forest McKee Reeves, 61, (1897-1958) Pleasureville, widely known Henry County farmer, died of a heart attack Thursday at his home. Until a few years ago, Mr. Reeves raised thoroughbred horses and sold them as yearlings. He was a member of the Pleasureville Christian Church and the Thoroughbred Club of America.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Sadie Blair Reeves; five daughters: Mrs. R. D. Roberts and Mrs. J. S. Robertson, both of Louisville, Mrs.B. E. Jones, London, Mrs. Lynn Allen, Eminence and Mrs. Ted Smith, New Castle; one son: Lt. Forest Leonard Reeves, Fort Knox; a half-sister: Mrs. Calvin Stephens, Alpha, FL and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Fsuneral Home, Pleasureville. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Harry Thomas Reeves, 55, of Lyndon, died December 17, 1989 at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Eminence Christian Church. Mr. Reeves also was employed as a clerk/stockman for 31 years at Belknap, Louisville.
He is survived by his wife: Lunora Suter Reeves, Lyndon; parents: Mr. and Mrs. Lester Reeves, Eminence; one daughter: Joanne Sulver, Lyndon and one brother: Lester Reeves, Jr., Alexandria.
A private graveside service was held December 18th at the Eminence Cemetery. Rev. John Brand officiated. Ransdell�s Eminence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lester Vernon Reeves, Sr., 80, of Eminence, died Sunday, November 28, 1993, at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. He was a retired building contractor for 30 years and a member of the Eminence Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Lucille Martin Reeves, Eminence; one son: Lester Reeves, Jr., Alexandria and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son: Harry Thomas Reeves.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, December 1st) at 10 a.m. at the Prewitt Funeral Home, Eminence. Rev. Tom Page, pastor of the Eminece Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the New Castle Cemetery.

Liza J. Reeves, 83, of Shelbyville, died Friday, October 1, 2004, at the Hospice and Palliative In-Patient Care Unit at Audubon Hospital, Louisville. She was a native of Henry County, retired from Middletown Manufacturing and Jones Plastics and Engineering, a homemaker and the daughter of the late Olan Yates and Minnie Mae Bell and Charlie Kelley.
She is survived by her daughter: Rosetta Stoops and son James Harvey Jones, both of Shelbyville; two sisters: Hattie Woods, Franklinton and Frankie Gobble, Salisbury, NC; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 4th at 11 a.m. at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Bill Taylor, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Todds Point, officiated. Burial was in the Cropper Cemetery.

Roy L. Reeves, 30, (August 7, 1918 � May 29, 1949), farmer, died after a long illness at 11:00 p.m. Sunday, at the home of his brother, Lester Reeves, near Eminence. He was the son of Winfred Reeves of New Castle and the late Mrs. Minnie Downey Reeves.
He is survived by his father: Winfred Reeves, New Castle; a sister: Mrs. Ernest Wainscott, Franklinton; two brothers: J. W. Reeves, New Castle and Lester Reeves, Eminence and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Eminence Baptist Church with Rev. J. T. Burdine officiating. Burial was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Bronston Reid, 77, of New Castle, died Sunday, April 22, 1984 at his residence after an illness. He was a native of Barren County, formerly of Marengo, IN and a retired farmer and contractor.

The wife of Mr. N. E. Renaker, near North Pleasureville, died suddenly last Saturday night with asthma, her death being wholly unexpected. It was a great shock to the community as she was a splendid woman. It was also a crushing blow to her husband, who was a fond and devoted husband. Mrs. Renaker was a Baptist. The funeral was preached Monday by her pastor, Dr. Robertson, Rev. Greer of the Methodist Church and Rev. Philips of the Bagdad Baptist church assisting in the exercises. Interment was in the Bagdad Cemetery.

Joseph E. Reneau, 79, of LaGrange, formerly of Eminence, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 in LaGrange. He was a retired set-up man at the Chrysler plant, a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII, and the son of the late Mulkey F. and Rose Calvert Reneau.
He is survived by his wife: Mildred Ruth Reneau, Eminence; two daughters: Dottie Morman and Joyce Owens; one son: William Reneau; one step-daughter: Brenda Woods; two stepsons: Bill and Douglas McClellan; two brothers: Lewis and George P. Reneau; three sisters: Dorothy Oliver, Ruby Farley and Martha Ethridge; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Belle Reneau and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22nd at Legacy Funeral Alternatives and Memorial Park, Indianapolis, IN. Interment was in the West Ridge Park Cemetery.

Guy Reynolds, 63, native of Carroll County and former resident of Henry County, died last Tuesday at his home in Lansing, MI. He had been a resident there for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Sally C. Reynolds; one son: Clarence Reynolds, Holt, MI; three grandchildren; five brothers: Eugene Reynolds, Florida, Charles Reynolds, Los Angeles, CA, Edward Reynolds, Worthville and Ralph and Raymond Reynolds, both of Ionia, MI; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Mills, Indianapolis, IN and Mrs. Grace Hayden, Port Royal.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Lansing with burial in the Maple Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, MI.

Funeral services were held at Lebanon, Ohio on Wednesday of last week for Mrs. Elsie Brown Rhoades, 56 years old, who died Monday, August 2, 1937, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, following an illness of about six months. Mrs. Rhoades, a native of Lebanon, had resided at Norwood for the past nine years.
Services were held at the home of her mother, Mrs. Kate Brown, on East Mulberry Street in Lebanon at 3 o�clock, conducted by Rev. Carl B. Alexander, pastor of Grace M. E. Church of Norwood, of which she was a member.
Mrs. Rhoades was born in Lebanon and spent her early life there. She was the daughter of Mrs. Kate Brown and the late Frank Brown.
Surviving are the husband: Loren S. Rhoades, principal of the Green Township School in Hamilton County; one daughter: Mrs. Stanley E. Doe; her mother; and one sister: Miss Erma Brown, Lebanon.
Mr. Rhoades was at one time the principal of the New Castle School.

Anna K. Rice, 79, of Ghent, died Wednesday, December 5, 1984 at the Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle. She was a native of Carroll County, a member of the Ghent Christian Church and a retired postmistress.
She is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Kent Floyd, New Castle; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday, December 7th at the Tandy-Eckler-Darnell Funeral Home, Carrollton. Rev. Ken Armstrong officiated. Interment was in the Ghent Cemetery.

Mrs. Beatrice Rice, 78, Eminence, died Saturday, August 10, 1985 at the Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle. She was a retired nurses aide at Central State Hospital.
She is survived by one sister: Mrs. Sybil Stivers, New Washington, IN; three nieces and seven nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 12th at the Thomas Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Gary West officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Sterling and Mrs. John Moorman, Carrollton; one son: Curtis T. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery.

He was the son of the late Michael and Anna Micklaschevitz Richwalsky, a member of the NRA, Carrollton American Legion Post 41, a member of the Trimble County Board of Health and a WWII Veteran serving in the Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Sue Richards, Bedford; two daughters: Debra Ann Richards Cash, Louisville and Wendy Richards Albert, Bedford; one son: John E. Richards, Goshen; one sister: Helen Koll, Cresskill, NJ; one brother: Michael Richwalsky, Jeffersontown; step-children: Cody and Christina Albert and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, November 19th at 3 p.m. at the Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. Doug Boyd officiating.

Christopher Aaron Richardson, 31, of Hodgenville, died Friday, September 22, 2006 in Hardin County. He was a song writer, musician and a member of the Hodgenville Church of God Family Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife: Erin Richardson, Hodgenville; his parents: Kenny and Cindy Richardson, Louisville; grandparents: Joe N. and Jean Orem, Campbellsburg and Christine Richardson, Louisville; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Richardson and grandfather, Arthur Richardson.

Mrs. Leila Jones Richmond, widow of Thomas Logan Richmond, died at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, CA on February 22, 1958, where she had been a patient for several weeks.
She was a native of Henry County and had lived in California since her marriage.
Survivors include a son: Thomas L. Richmond, Jr.; a daughter: Mary L. Richmond; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter, all living in California.

Mrs. Blanche Bovard Ricketts, 82, of Coral Gables, FL, died there suddenly on February 23, 1982. She was formerly of Henry County; a former member of the New Castle United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Thomas (Elizabeth Ann) Taylor, Miami, FL and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 27th in Coral Gables.

Edna Smith Ricketts, 88, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 1999.

Frankie B. Ricketts, 100, of Dayton, OH, died Saturday, July 16, 1984. She was born in Ghent, KY and previously lioved in Campbellsburg. She was a member of the Mt. Enon Baptist Church and a former teacher for over 20 years.
She is survived by one daughter: Nancy L. Tanner; two sisters: Lorena Brightwell, New York City and Carrie Winburn, Clarksville, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Martha Cordelia Richmond Ricketts, 75, of Augusta, GA, died Monday, September 20, 2004 at Lake Crossing Health Center, Appling, GA. She was the daughter of the late Charles Allen and America Maude Richmond and a member of the Greater Augusta Apostolic Church, Augusta, GA.
She is survived by one son: Kevin Ricketts, Martinez, GA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Ricketts.

Minice Ricketts, 88, of Sun City, CA, died Monday, May 6, 1985 at the Mission Valley Hospital in Lake Esinare, CA. He was born in Port Royal and had lived in the Sun City area for the past nine years.
He is survived by one son: Jack Ricketts, Sun City; one sister: Maude Chilton, Lacie; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mollie B. Ricketts, 95, of Louisville, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at Mt. Holly Nursing Center in Louisville. She was a member of the Campbellsburg Second Baptist Church and the daughter of the late Mattie Miles and John Breene.
She is survived by four children: Willena Ricketts, Joyce Ricketts, Robert E. Ricketts, Sr. and Jerry Lee Ricketts; one brother: R. C. Miles; thirty-one grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren and a host of Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ricketts, Sr and five children.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28th at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg. Rev. W. L. Trabue officiated. Interment was in the New Castle GUOOF Cemetery.

Mrs. Susan Gum Ricketts, Henry County�s only centenarian died Friday evening at 10 o�clock at the home of her son, E. B. Ricketts at Lacie. Mrs. Ricketts was one hundred years, one month and twenty-four days old, having been born on April 8, 1834 (died June 1, 1934). She was married in 1848, twelve years before the Civil War, to Thomas Ricketts.
The deceased is survived by five children, Mrs. Nathan Powell and Mrs. John Adams, New Castle; bud Ricketts and John Ricketts, both of Port Royal and E. B. Ricketts of Lacie. There are thirty-four grandchildren; sixty-four great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Port Royal Baptist Church for over fifty years.
Funeral services were held at the Port Royal Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. W. E. Richardson, pastor of the Hopewell Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery.

George Dallas Ridgeway, 98, (Born: 2-13 -1845 Died: 12-27-1943) died at his home in Smithfield, at 7:20 a.m., Sunday. He had lived his entire life at the same farm where he died. He had been a member of the Smithfield Baptist Church for 65 years.
He is survived by three nieces and three nephews. They are: Mrs. Mattie Hertz, OH, Mrs. E. F. Scott, Shelbyville, Mrs. Frank L. Wellman, Crestwood, George R. Carpenter, Shelbyville, Ernest R. Ridgeway, Louisville and Coleman Ridgeway, Smithfield.
Funeral services were conducted at the Smithfield Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. P. C. McGuire officiating. Burial was in the Smithfield Cemetery.

Robert �Bob� Riggle, 51, of Louisville, formerly of Henry County, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at University Hospital, Louisville. He was a former radio personality known as �Cowboy Bob� for stations in Louisville, Shelby and Henry Counties and the son of the late Bob Riggle.
He is survived by his mother: Wanda Riggle; one brother: Dwight Riggle; one sister: Brenda Gilliland and three children: Robert Keith Riggle, Jr., Steven Riggle and Kimberly Riggle.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24th at Pearson-Ratterman Bros, Middletown. Interment was in the Middletown Cemetery.

Ralph Edward Riley, 57, of Bernalillo formerly of Carrollton, died January 21, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. He was the son of the late Jarvis and Della Mae Riley.
He is survived by his wife: Rhonda Brumback Riley, Bernalillo; two sons: Jarvis Riley, Bernalillo and Michael Riley, Carrollton; three brothers: Jerry Riley and Ray Riley, both of Carrollton and Donnie Riley, Drennon; three sisters: Karen Wheeler, Bedford, Helen Hikes, Carrollton and Betty Rush, Manchester, OH; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Russell, Robert, Henry Jay and Terry Jay Riley and two sisters: Mary Jane Raisor and Dorothy Martin.
Funeral services were held January 27th at Alvary Chapel in Rio Rancho, NM.

Bailey Riner died at his residence near town last Saturday morning, about 9:30 o�clock, from a complication of diseases. Bailey was the eldest son of our popular tobacco man, J. T. Riner, and was one of our best farmers.
About four years ago he married Miss Anna Lou Yeager, Rev. J. P. Strother celebrating the rites. Only one child, a son, blessed their union.
The funeral was preached at the Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon, by presiding elder, Julius E. Wright. Afterwards his body was laid to rest in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Sammie B. Johnston Hammond Riner
Mrs. Sammie Johnston Hammond Riner passed away Thursday morning, March 10, at the home of her son, Harold Hammond, Pleasureville. She was the daughter of Captain and Mrs. I. N. Johnston. At age twelve she joined the Pleasureville Methodist Church.
She married Goodlow Hammond and to this union was born four children: Raymond, who died in infancy; Johnston, who died in 1918 as a result of flu during WWI; Harold and Nell Hammond Rodgers, both of Pleasureville. Later she was married to W. S. Riner who preceded her in death. She also leaves three sisters: Mrs. H. H. Drane, Eminence, Mrs. James B. Sibley, Pleasureville and Mrs. James Price, Nicholasville; one brother: J. E. Johnston, Pleasureville; one granddaughter: Mrs. Albert Browne and one great grandson: Albert Logan Brown.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Pleasureville Methodist Church with Rev. C. A. Nunery, pastor, officiating.

On Tuesday July 8, 1902 at 9:30 o�clock, the pure spirit of Mrs. Sarah Riner, wife of Mr. J. T. Riner, abandoned its earthly tenement to be reunited with Him who gave it. She had been in feeble health a long time, and for thirteen months had been confined to bed.
Born in Henry County on July 4, 1861, she was four days past forty-one years of age. Her name before marriage was Miss Sarah Long. She left behind a devoted husband and three children who evidence in their characters the tenderness and care that none but the affectionate mother can bestow. Two of the children are sons, 20 and 16, while the third is a girl 13 years. Several children have died; one of them last February � a married man.
Mrs. Riner was a consistent member of the Methodist Church. The funeral took place Wednesday at 1 p.m., at the church in North Pleasureville, and was conducted by Rev. W. F. Vaughn. Interment was in the cemetery at the church.

Martha Rae Ritchey, 76, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, January 7, 2007. She was a member of the Burks Branch Baptist Church and was retired from A&P Grocery and Roll Forming.
She is survived by her husband: William Ritchey, Shelbyville; one daughter: Marchetia Turner, Eminence; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, daughter of the late Roger Hanson and Margaret Buckman Bemiss, a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church, a retired Avon representative and a member of the Middletown V.F.W.
She is survived by two sons: Danny Ritter and Joe Ritter, both of Shelbyville; two daughters: Margaret Ritter, Shelbyville and Kathy �Kitty� Broughton, Pleasureville; two brothers: Roger Bemiss, Bowling Green and Robert Bemiss, Frankfort; two sisters: Marjorie Collins, Shelbyville and Nancy Quinley, Richmond; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ritter and one daughter, Martha Hayden.
