William Allen Maddox
William Allen Maddox, 4 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Maddox, Bethlehem died on April 8, 1966, as a result of a house fire at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Maddox.
A graveside service was held on April 9th at the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Joe McHone, 68, of Eminence, died Friday, September 28, 2012, at his residence. He was the son of the late Joseph Willard and Betty Frances Burdine McHone. He is survived by his wife: Jewell (Abney) McHone, Eminence; two daughters: Nelta Cox, Pleasureville and Helen Padgett, Jemison, AL; and one son: Willard McHone, Eminence. A private graveside service was held in Berea. Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her daughters: Norma Hume, Lawrenceburg, Cora Cockrell and Helen Harner, both of Kokomo, Shirley Wry, Modesto, CA, Betty Preston, Pleasureville and Lisa Green, Shelbyville; her sons: Bobby McIntyre, Amsterdam, MO, Elmer McIntyre and Raymond McIntyre, both of Louisville and James McIntyre, Kokomo, IN. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Rev. Jackie Newton officiated. Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery.

Ernest G. McKee, 96, of Pleasureville, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. He was born in Bethlehem and was the son of the late Willard and Lucinda Ebersbaker McKee. He was a dairy farmer and belonged to the Pleasureville United Methodist Church where he was the second oldest member. He is survived by his son: Paul (Margaret) McKee; two grandsons: Ricky McKee and Mike (Danielle) McKee; two great-grandchildren: Micah McKee and Matthew McKee; and a great-great- granddaughter: Katherine Rose Oesterritter, all of Pleasureville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Barnett McKee. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 27th, at the Pleasureville United Methodist Church. Rev. Jeff Bramel and Rev. Don Hatton officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Mr. Joseph McKee, a well known citizen of this place, died Thursday, July 30, 1921. He had been in declining health for a year or more, but his demise came as a surprise, for he failed rapidly in the last week. Mr. McKee was a most excellent man, a fine citizen, and was universally respected. He is survived by one son, Willard McKee, a well known farmer of this county.

Ruth Alice McManis, 79, of Turners Station, died Friday, April 18, 2003 at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange. She was the daughter of the late Ura and Bessie Easton Willett, a homemaker and a member of the Turners Station Christian Church. She is survived by her husband: Joe Ray McManis; three sons: Phillip Ray McManis, Port Royal, Stephen Darrell McManis, Lexington, IN and Kevin gene McManis, Turners Station; two sisters: Elsie (Henry) Newkirk, Campbellsburg and Lillian (Harry) Himes; two brothers: Orville Willett, Fort Thomas and Harrison Willett, Carrollton; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg. Rev. Carl Rucker and Rev. Vernon Joseph officiated.

Learleen Gividen McNamara, 93, of New Castle, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Flora Watson Gividen and a member of the Sulphur United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters: Sereta (Kenneth) Salsman, Roswell, NMX, Loveda (Rick) Campbell, Martin, TN and Orissa (Glenn) Long, Shelbyville; thirteen grandchildren; and several great-grand children. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Cora J. Croxton and Anna Jean Rose and one son: William Earl Croxton. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21st at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Dr. David Charlton, Pastor of the New Castle First Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Sulphur Cemetery.

Beulah Clubb Mitchell, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday, January 22, 2003. She was a native of Henry County, the daughter of the late Marshall and Mary J. Caldwell Clubb and a teacher. She is survived by her daughter: Cheryll B. Mitchell Savage, Las Vegas; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Mitchell Willis. He was the son of the late Ernest and Lena Florence Bohannon Mitchell, attended Elmburg Baptist Church and had been a truck driver for Bobby Goullon Trucking and Bulldozing. He was also a farmer. He is survived by his wife: Mary E. Perry Mitchell, Pleasureville; three sons: David and Lowell Mitchell, both of Frankfort and Paul Mitchell, Lawrenceburg; one daughter: Judy Adler, Pleasureville; three brothers: Harold and Ronnie Mitchell, both of Shelbyville and Ernest Lee Mitchell, Frankfort; two sisters: Nell Griffins and Reta June Sams, both of Shelbyville; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, five nieces and seven nephews. Martha Moore, 93, of Reno, NV, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her residence after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was the daughter of the late William and Virginia Bell Moore. She is survived by three sons: Roy Lee, Ernest and Ronald Moore and one daughter: Norma Engert. A memorial service was held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford. Interment was in the Centerfield Cemetery, Oldham County.

Wesley Morrison, 72, of Eminence, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange. He was the son of the late Frank and Gertrude Morrison. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was produce manager at Norm�s Food World in Eminence. He is survived by his wife: Maudie Morrison, Eminence; three sons: Wesley Morrison, Jr. and Ricky Downey, both of Eminence, and Thomas Downey, Campbellsburg; two sisters: Stella Grace Sullivan, Bedford and Phyllis Morrison, Indiana; two brothers: Jim Morrison, Carrollton and Pete Morrison, Indiana; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20th at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Herb Kinman and Bro. Bill Waugh officiated. Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Rita Mullins, 76, of New Castle, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville. She was the daughter of the late Richard Henry and Mary Rose Newton Goote. She is survived by two daughters: Rita Faye (Elmer) George, Lebanon and Billie Carol (Den) Berry, Turners Station; three sons: Kenneth Michael Mullins, LaGrange, Patrick Lynn (Kathleen) Mullins, Petoskey, MI, and David Winston (Diane) Mullins, Livonia, MI; one brother: Charles Edward Goote, Louisville; three sisters: Ann �Addie� Everhart and Edna Rose Kelly, both of Louisville, and Dorothy Josephine LeBine, TX; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Harold Mullins; one son, Alan Jackson Mullins; two brothers and six sisters. Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4th at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Rev. Wally Dant officiated. Interment was in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery. Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
