Annotated 1850 census

The information came from numerous sources and individuals, including many of the files I have placed online, such as the marriages and the numerous cemetery photos.

I can't thank Jim enough for his generosity in sharing his research as the basis of this new research tool for Hopkins County. He has already begun sending me the links to other info I have online, such as the bios, cemetery photos, etc.

In 1860, Webster County was formed, in part from Hopkins County, so you'll find a good many of these people [especially in District II] in the 1860 Annotated Census for Webster County by Carole Palmer. Let both of us know the appropriate URLs, household numbers, page numbers etc and we'll link the 1850 Hopkins County family to the 1860 Webster County family across the county line. If you have photos of any of the people mentioned, share them for the Days Gone By section in Hopkins County, or the Family Photos in Webster County, and give both of us the District and household numbers so we can cross link them.

Send me your name and addy to be linked as interested in a family. Request that your homepage be linked to the family if you have more info. Tell me where they are buried, or when and where they were married, maiden name of wife, household number of parents, etc.

This can be a wonderful resource for us all.

DISCLAIMER: Due to variations and interpretations of records, the data should be considered as a guide and must be researched for one’s self to assure as much accuracy as possible. Even the photos can be open to different interpretations when they are not real clear. ;-)
