The funeral home moved to its present location on 15 June 1969. Large portraits of W Fred Strother and his wife Artie Mae Strother,
founders of the Strother Funeral Home, hang in the present day Barnett-Strother building.

Barnett-Strother Funeral Home does not have any descendents with either of these names associated with them at this time [2001].
W. Fred Strother died in 1975 and his wife, Artie Mae Strother died in 1991.
