Coach Lyle Dunbar played basketball at Kentucky Wesleyan College. Coach Dunbar coached high school basketball at Fordsville, West Hopkins (1962-65), Scottsville, Maysville, and Christian County, compiling a 627-311 record, which ranks him 10th in most wins in the state. He coached Christian County High School to two State High School Runner-Ups in 1976 and 1979. Coach Dunbar was inducted in 1998 to the KHSAA Hall of Fame, and in 2004 was inducted into the Christian County High School Hall of Fame.
