Vernice Mullins
Vernice Mullins, age 91, of Amburgey, Ky., died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Va., after a long illness.
She was born September 30, 1909, at Hindman, Ky., the daughter of Green Rowe and Nancy Cornett Rowe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Mullins.
She is survived by four sons: Gene Russell Mullins, Amburgey, Ky., James H. (Shirley) Mullins, Mallie, Ky., Otis B. (Ancilene) Mullins, Amburgey, Ky., and Russell (Sandra) Mullins, Hindman, Ky., one daughter: Amy Nell (Olaf) Madden, Amburgey, Ky., 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services for Vernice Mullins conducted Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with minister Don Pratt officiating. Burial followed at the Madden Cemetery at Amburgey, Ky., under the direction of the Hindman Funeral Services, Hindman, Ky.
