.----He and his wife Minnia lived in Flat River, Mo in St. Francois Co. during the 1910 census. He was age 42 and she 42 also. He and Parents were born in Mo. and Minnia and parents were born in Ky. It is believed they both were married before and that they married around 1904.

They sold Ice Cream at the ST Louis World Fair in 1904 and made a fortune and after the Fair came to Flat River and built a home and a two story creamery where they made and sold Ice Cream. JW was pretty much of a carpenter and builder as the house and creamery were well built out of Concrete blocks and good timbers. At that time Flat River was a boom town with lots of people moving in to get any kind of job in the lead mines and J W and wife ran a boarding house on the second floor of the Creamery. Some of the boarders at the time of the census was Hattie Rushing, Niece, age 14 . Molly Whaley, age 23, Julia Bowling, age 21, Buckner, Thomas J. age 21, Robert R. Young, age 27, David A. Young age 25, Louis R. Conway, age 30, Geo E. Vinyard age 32, Charley Prescott, age 37, John F. Manley, age 25, Lillian Steel, age 34, Dord Hay, age 25, Lucinda S. Hunt age 60.

In 1911 they sold the Creamery to the Prathers, who converted it to their home on the first floor and boarders on the second floor. The home was purchased by T. J. and Margaret Beulah Fraizer Steward, newlyweds and the parents of Morris Monroe Stewart in August 23, 1911. Morris and family lived there thur the 1930's. He does not know what happened to J.
